Went between lunch and dinner time, wasn't too hungry so I thought I'd order something smaller. I was surprised by both items! Ended up taking home leftovers.both were very good and I'd consider visiting again. The horchata was also very delicious and we had got one to share and our server was able to split it into 2 cups for us!

Ordered a take out of 3 of their most popular el amigo burritos. I had a gift certificate here so I wanted to check this place out. Not very crowded, and seemed like most people ordered take away here. They have a wide selection of burritos, tacos, and main plates. Burritos were pretty tasty and filled with lots meat and rice. Burrito size is pretty massive, you could probably get 2 meals out of each. One thing I wish they did is put the avocado/sour cream on the side in a container rather than directly on the burrito bc it made it soggy. Person taking the order was friendly and the take out time was only 15 minutes. Prices are on the higher side but you get a lot quantity wise. If you're in the mood for Mexican food and in the area, this place is a good option.

Went here for lunch with friends...three of us had the chile verde burrito. We all agreed...the best chile verde burrito EVER!!!!! To top it off we were there on a Thursday and the burrito is their Thursday lunch special!!! I took half of mine home and my husband polished it off!

Sadly prices now seem outrageous. For some reason I was charged on my credit card $2 more than my ticket said. Noticed later as I was driving away. The younger woman over the phone and in person who took my order was not very friendly.

The food is good BUT, they've gotten orders wrong. We order from the GrubHub platform, so fyi on that. El Amigo Burrito doesn't like when you call them to tell them that they've messed up your order, when the receipt Clearly shows what has been ordered , yet they act like "oh well, call GtubHub". Wrong answer!!!!! It's already a shame that prices are so high, but for them to add a level of nonsense to it, it isn't okay. I've received a handful or orders from them that have been wrong. The food is good though, I'll give them that much.

The first time my family and I dined at EAB was in 1999. We kept coming back because the food was excellent, and the owners, along with Jose (hope the name is right), their son, and their daughter were always attentive, trying hard to please the customer. However, in 2020, something went south. The service declined from excellent to okay, to bad, to worse. Due to Covid, we stopped dining at the restaurant but continued enjoying their food through delivery or takeout. Unfortunately, our last meal from El Amigo Burrito was 6 months ago. The food quality is no longer what it used to be. On top of that, they charge a service fee, and to make matters worse, they no longer provide chips for pickup or delivery orders--a pitiful situation when even inexpensive taquerias offer this. When a business is committed to providing good service, they listen to their customers. In the face of a complaint, instead of responding angrily and attacking the customer, they should see it as an opportunity to do better. Unfortunately, the nasty responses unhappy customers get from El Amigo Burrito show they don't see the need for improvement. Their approach seems to be: if you like it, pay a premium; if you don't, shut up.

Solid Mexican joint. Located in a small strip mall where the parking lot is a bit tight. However the food is always solid. Went again a few weeks ago and got my go to shrimp burrito. Highly recommend just getting the regular instead of the super, can taste more of the shrimp/that good sauce Other solid options are the enchiladas and chili relleno. Service can be a bit slow, but very friendly staff. Price wise it is on the more expensive side, but always a good choice

The shrimp tacos here were actually so fire. Highly recommend. Also the tacos are super cheap for the size of them! They're huge!!!! Very wholesome service, very fast service, super happy I came here.

The enchilada (singular!) was good and fresh.Chips & Salsa were healthy sized portion with free refills. The waitress even gave me different kinds of salsa when I asked for it.Both the waitress and the owner(? or manager) were warm and hospitable.I loved the experience.Two cons:1. The one enchilada was too expensive.I mean, the dish is called Enchiladas at any other Mexican place!2. The chips didn't taste great. Too thin and biting, not soft-crunchy & crumbling like I love at all my favorite Mexican restaurants. (Also, I went in early for lunch, so not sure if I got served left overs - which could explain but not excuse the bland taste.)

I used to like this place, but it's too expensive for the quality now. It costs me the same to go to a restaurant in Santana Row. They also charge you for using a credit card, which I could understand if it's fast food or a taqueria. But this is sit down restaurant with drinks. Who is carrying around that much cash these days? Won't be coming back for that reason

Got a shrimp burrito & a chicken verde burrito, both shmackkk. Only thing is, I wish they had come with rice? Or maybe it does but they forgot to add it lol it was low key soup-y.
