ordered pulav got more mirchi’s than chicken pieces in it and it is way too spicy which did not feel healthy at all

Friendly staff and good selection of food items. Bottles of water were ready on each table. Server was helpful with menu questions and gave recommendations. Food was good and tasty (aside from the one that was way too spicy)Cons: space looked somewhat unorganized. It took a long time and two reminders for an additional item.Even though it was noted for our food to be “very very mild” it was very spicy that I took it home, soaked it in water and washed the sauce totally off but it was still spicy!Kid-friendliness: Not at all, even mild spicy is way too spicy for kids

The food is great, customer service is great. The owner is always there to make sure all customers have a great experience. Definitely recommend the chai here, methi chicken appetizer, chicken biryani. I would recommend this place for a great food.

Best Indian food not far from the SF 76ers Levi's Stadium, food and the ambience makes you feel like homeI asked for something not spicy, they recommended Butter Chicken, OMG, it just so yummy, not to mention their garlic bread, love it !!!

The food is great. Be careful of the spice level, it can get really spicy if you ask for it. The owner is super sweet. It's my go-to place for briyani. Highly

Santa Clara near TCS and Citrix building, the place serves Indian food. Yes, you can expect spicy or medium spicy, Indian milk tea/coffee and snacks to be exactly meeting your expectations. The place looks old but fine dining. The food items I tried were Biriyani, chilli paneer, naan, chapati, gangura paneer, chilli bajji and all the items were satisfying.Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options.Parking: Parking is available.

The food was worst here I ordered mushroom curry and the management was not worst here. I asked the guy that the curry is not tasty and he was like if you would go have it just have it or you can order an other curry so this is the worst customer experience and food is also not

The food here is incredible and authentic. The flavors are elevated beyond most Indian restaurants I have been to. The butter chicken was heavenly. We couldn't stop dipping our naan bread into the sauce. The chicken was also very tender. The onion Dosa was a great experience but the side order of saag paneer was one of the highlights. The owner gave us a taste of the rice pudding which was rich, creamy and the cardamom flavor enriched the taste experience. Definitely a great place and find.

This place never dissapoints. Great, authentic biryanis and the best chole batura in town. The owner, Sridhar ji as well as the staff are very hospitable and friendly. It is a nice, cozy place and our go to spot for sunday lunch takeout. Goat biryani and Guttivankaya pulav are our staple orders at this place.

For starter it was chilli Bhajji, it was average . For main course had goat biriyani and Gongura chicken boneless biriyani . Goat biriyani was decent would have preferrred a little more rice than meat. Gongura Biriyani isn’t good at all didn’t feel the flavour and didn’t have enough sourness as one would expect for biriyani

This gem of an Indian restaurant in the Bay Area has truly left a lasting impression on me.First and foremost, I have to commend the amazing host and owner, Sridhar. His dedication to ensuring that every patron has a personalized dining experience is truly exceptional. Sridhar goes above and beyond, customizing dishes to match your taste preferences and offering unique suggestions with a warm smile. This level of service is a rarity and greatly contributes to the restaurant's charm. Now, let's talk about the food. Golkonda's starters, particularly the pepper chicken and methi chicken, are a delightful explosion of flavors. They strike the perfect balance between lovely and spicy, tantalizing your taste buds from the very first bite. But what truly sets this place apart is their biryani - it's hands down the best in the Bay Area. The aroma, the flavors, and the sheer authenticity make it a must-try for any biryani enthusiast. To complement these delectable dishes, Golkonda offers a selection of refreshing beers. There's something special about sipping a cold beer while enjoying the rich, authentic Indian flavors they serve. The malai kofta and fire naan are nothing short of divine. The malai kofta is creamy, with just the right balance of flavors, and the fire naan adds that perfect touch of spice. Every bite is a burst of culinary delight.Beyond the exceptional food and service, Golkonda provides a relaxed and unpretentious ambiance, making it the ideal spot for a gathering with friends. My buddies and I frequent this place almost every other week, and it never disappoints. Laughter, loud conversations, and great company flourish here, all over the backdrop of a fantastic meal.Their chai is one of the regular starters and enders we go with when our gang hangs out!In conclusion, if I could, I would give Golkonda 6 stars out of 5. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in experiencing authentic Indian cuisine. Golkonda not only offers a culinary journey but also a glimpse into the heartwarming hospitality of Sridhar and his team. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the Bay Area - you won't be disappointed.

Husband ordered butter chicken VERY SPICY and I ordered goat curry MILD. I have a medical condition that makes spicy food trigger anaphylaxis-like responses when eaten (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome). When we got home his butter chicken was MILD and my goat curry was VERY SPICY. I also can not eat cream-based curries, so I could not just swap his curry (butter chicken) for mine (goat curry). Our receipt was correctly written & double checked by us/our server (Harsha) so I can only assume the cook/kitchen staff was not paying attention & made the mistake. Unfortunately now I have no dinner to eat after a long week & have to go back out & find something else to eat here in SF which is a huge pain due to parking. I hope the cook/kitchen staff will pay better attention next time for the next customer. I called an provided this feedback to the restaurant as soon as we got home & discovered the mix up.I was really excited to try this restaurant as I have heard good things but we probably will not be coming back after this experience which is a shame b/c it could have become a cool routine on the way back to SF from Fremont every Friday. It looks like a nice restaurant & their produce was being freshly delivered when we placed our order. Husband says the food otherwise was fine.Dietary restrictions: Be careful, they are not attentive to allergies. I mentioned specifically that my dish (goat curry) could not be spicy due to my medical condition. The server did his job but the cook/kitchen staff ignored his work causing me to receive a meal that was inedible to me, & forcing me to spend more money/time/effort to purchase dinner at an alternate restaurant that pays attention to dietary restrictions appropriately.

Forget about the menu just ask the extremely friendly owner, Shridhar, of the place who will guide you through your entire cuisine and recommend exactly what you would like. Amazing food, correct spice and very flavorful. Best biriyani in Bay Area hands down. Must visit!!
