A good snack restaurant to taste Korean snack food. The generous service and delicious cooking skills of the friendly owner are additional features. The price is very reasonable and it is individually packaged so you can buy pre-cooked Korean food and eat it at home. The kimbap is excellent, and the signature bean noodles, which are only available in the summer, are also the best. This is the only Korean restaurant in San Jose where you can taste instant tteokbokki.

Food were not bad. We had sushi roll, ramen and ttobogee. It was a bit costly for the dishes. Takeout price more friendly. Next time maybe try the Budae jjigae.

Food: Got lunch for takeout from Kami and ordered on Grubhub. Beef kimbap were REALLY fantastic - they are stuffed with goodies. Bulgogi with rice was also top notch. Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) were decent but extremely pricy (the base version were $15). Portions are not huge (we finished everything from all three dishes between two of us)Service: On time with takeout order, and the lady working was very niceAtmosphere: We just got takeout, but the shop is tiny with just 2 small tables and no outdoor seating

Love this place! Great food and great service, something surprisingly hard to find these days. The people who work here are so kind and really care that you enjoy the food. We ordered this hot soup dish with noodles an dumplings and the ladies who worked there would check that the noddles were cooked well. And at the end they came over and made the left over soup into a porridge. Was a wonderful experience!

Best authentic Korean small dishes and food. Their small dishes are great for daily food. Tasty but still healthy home cooked flavors.

Hits the spot for Korean comfort food. (bunsik) Had the gimbap and ddeokbbokki with ramen, both were good. They have banchan (side dishes) for sale you can take home. Inside is smaller with room for maybe 30 or so but seems like it's mostly to-go. Service was good and the bathroom (1 unisex) was clean.

Less food for the price. Suggested tip amount is based on after tax amount.

The interior has been changed to a more hip and happening bunshik restaurant. It's been painted a light green and they have a banchan store set up at the front where the register is. We came on. Wednesday and it appears that their hours vary day to day. The schedule said they close at 3pm on Wednesdays so please note the schedule before visiting. Their kimbap always hits the spot. The pieces aren't too big and just the right size to pop into your mouth. Their fish cake soup comes in a cute bronze pot. This is so so, not really worth ordering. Their jjolmyun however is so delicious. Sweet and tangy with lots of veggies like cabbage! Will come back again to have their spicy rice cakes again.

Kami Korean Kitchen is located in a small strip mall with a few other Korean restaurants. There are a few tables for indoor seating, though space is somewhat limited. We came for lunch on a Friday at noon and were seated immediately. We decided to share a kimchi pork belly kimbap and the kimchi cheese fried rice with bulgogi. While the kimbap was only okay for the price ($11.50), the fried rice was really delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side ($20) but is large enough to feed 2 people. I might be a bit biased since I'm a fan of cheese, but the layer of melted cheese in the middle is a great combination with the kimchi-flavored rice. And since it's served on a hot plate, there's crispy rice on the bottom to add some texture. Overall, I would come back for the fried rice but would probably pass on the kimbap (or try other flavors) since I've had better elsewhere. I'd also like to come back to try their tteokbokki since both of the other tables ordered some version of it.

This place is my go-to for kimbap in the South Bay. My favorites are their Spicy Tuna Roll and their Kami Roll, which features fish cake, egg, and veggies. During the earlier stages of the pandemic, I'd often grab a few kimbap rolls from Kami, drive to Central Park nearby, and have a socially-distanced picnic with a friend or two. Sometimes we'd get a hefty serving of spicy rice cakes, which made for a great side and dipping sauce for the kimbap. (I owe a lot to this place for keeping me sane during those "unprecedented times"!) I still drop by this place when I'm in the area and recommend it to my friends. Though I can't help but notice that the other Korean spots in this neighborhood look considerably more crowded. Hopefully it's because Kami customers prefer takeout or something. In any case: If you're interested in no-frills Korean cuisine with an emphasis on street food and casual fare, don't sleep on this place!

Reasonable price. Very delicious tteokboki. Would visit again. Seems a bit understaffed though so please be patient with the staff. Food is worth the wait.

Extraordinary just like Attorney Woo Food Spam Jalapeño Cream Cheese Kimbap 4/5: Wish I could taste the jalapeño more, it was just there to give some crunch basically. Spam always makes things good Kimchii Pork belly kimbap 4/5: Good but also couldn't taste the kimchii much. I liked to dip the kimchii pork belly with my teobokki sauce. Tuna kimbap 4.5/5: This one was my favorite, good tuna flavor and everything meshed well together nicely.
