I had the worst experience of my life here. My husband and I went to the cafe on a weekday and we were the only two customers there. They took our order(not to mention the staff was very rude) and after 30 minutes or so they told us that they forgot to prepare our order that too in an unapologetic manner. To our surprise, one more party arrived while we were sitting and they were served with their order in just 10 minutes. I don't understand what to take from this incident. We asked them to cancel the order and left the place. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We were looking for a cozy not crazy crowded brunch place in Santa Clara, and I'm happy we found one. There are indoor sitting and outdoor sitting (patio with heaters and shade, as well as open space) options.Servers seem caring and doing everything quickly (at least when it's not very busy), they were checking on us a few times and giving a coffee refill without request.House coffee is a good one, but not the best one. With the order we got all the condiments, sauces and ketchup after requesting one.The food is good overall, interesting sauce for a wrap and a nice hollandaise for eggs benedict. The only little surprise is a hard biscuit under the eggs which tastes like it was refrigerated and then put in the microwave, not freshly baked for sure.Overall it's a good place for a weekend brunch, we will come back again soon for sure.

Good atmosphere. We ordered the vegetables skillet. Small amount of veggies. It’s more like potato with onions. The $4 tea was really not worth it.

Seating is kind of tight, you feel like your sharing the table with the next guy. Atmosphere was quaint and the establishment was very clean ?. Food was great, I'd go back again.

I saw that they had a dog friendly outdoor patio, so I decided to head on over for an early breakfast. The patio was super spacious for Yuna and they offered her a water bowl. They also have heaters which is a plus. Outdoor patio is nice and quiet, even with a full crowd. Service was super friendly and consistent. I saw an array of servers who consistently checked in. For food, I ordered the Chicken & Gravy Biscuit Benedict, Croissant French Toast, and Mikayla's Iced Tea (essentially a Thai tea). The food was super hot when it came out. Chicken & Gravy Biscuit Benedict had a nice ratio of sauce to chicken. The biscuit underneath had a nice toast crunch to it that complimented the overall texture of the dish. I got hash on the side of mine (there's also the option of potatoes), and the hash was super crispy and I like that the strands are separate so it had a nice crisp crunch throughout. Croissant French Toast was overall good -- super soft and buttery. I kept seeing the loaded one as a go-to choice, but I'm not a fan of coconut and I was by myself, that this dish was enough to end with a sweet note to my meal. Mikayla's Iced Tea just tasted like any other thai iced tea -- I was kind of shocked how orange it was, but not too notable. I'm usually a coffee person but I don't need that today. Overall, such a a chill, not overly crowded place to go. It has a good amount of parking and I like that it's on a quieter street so it's easy to get to. I think I prefer this location versus the one on Tasman just because they actually have an outdoor patio to sit at instead of a table on a sidewalk.

I'll probably always come here for the spicy crab cake benedicts. Not for their service, not for their mimosas lol but that's all-the spicy crab benedicts and probably an iced coffee if I didn't make ot to Starbucks. Inside is clean. Nice flowers if you're dining put. Easy to find parking if you go at the right time. Cousin got the tacos and wasn't a fan.

Great place for delish breakfast food! I had the corned beef hash, which was good. The last time I was at Mikayla's Cafe, I ordered the spicy crab cake Benedict and another friend ordered the bourbon bacon jam chicken grilled cheese sandwich and we shared our order (see half/half photo). Both were amazing! Their fruit mimosas are yummy. The branch on Aldo Ave in Santa Clara is deceivingly roomy (it easily accommodated a party of 15 with no problem & has outdoor seating with umbrellas.

What a hidden gem! It's a stand-alone restaurant across from Rotten Robbie's off Aldo Ave. My SO and I were running errands Sunday morning, and it was almost lunchtime. Luckily, we spotted Mikayla's Cafe and did a U-turn to grab brunch! AMBIANCEThe restaurant is cute. It gives farmhouse decor warmth and comfort. SERVICEService was okay. We were seated upon entrance quickly. It was getting busy since the Sunday lunch rush hour started shortly after we arrived. We had to wave down a server several times throughout our dine-in for water refills and the check. The staff were amicable. FOOD* Mikayla's Coffee - we ordered two iced coffee. It was tasty and creamy. The taste reminds me of a very mild Vietnamese coffee. * Spicy Crab Cakes Benedict - This entree was delicious. The Benedict was appropriately cooked, and the crab cakes were tasty. The hash tasted okay; nothing to rave about. Do order them extra crispy. However, they missed the mark on the spicy hollandaise because it was not spicy at all, nor was there any trace of spice. This is something that they can improve on for the dish. * Corned Beef Hash - I love corned beef, so I was excited to order this. I've had my fair share of this type of entree growing up in Georgia. This dish was okay. The corned beef isn't freshly made. It's pre-made and pan-fried. My over-medium eggs were cooked properly, and the extra-crispy hash was good. Overall, it was still a tasty dish because I love corned beef regardless. This is a good brunch spot since it's tucked away and doesn't get crazy busy. It has good options and a chill environment.
