One of my absolute favorite places to eat or have delivered. The blackened shrimp bowl is my favorite! I get mine with island rice and spicy pinapple teriyaki sauce. Healthier options, amazing food, great service and they have vegetarian options! Enjoy!!!

Wow! The Luau pork sandwich is a MUST try! I also tried the steak and shrimp plate with island rice, and it was delicious! The mac salad is a fav! The owners are super friendly, too! I'm definitely coming back and telling everyone about it!

The first time I ate at fire island, it was around 7 pm and the restaurant was empty. Since this is a fast food style restaurant, all the food was pre-cooked and it wasn't very fresh. I chalked this up to the time of day that I went. So I went a second time, on a weekday, at noon. To my surprise, the restaurant was empty and the food still didn't taste fresh. To make matters worse, each dish is the same thing, like pick your type of rice, pick your meat, pick your sauce and optional vegetables. The sauce choices are Japanese teriyaki, Thai peanut and Jamaican jerk. So there nothing Hawaiian on the menu. The food is not good. It is not bad. It is just not good. Can't think of any reason to go back a third time.

I ordered the shrimp and steak bowl, it really tasted like something I could have made at home it wasn’t the greatest a little tasteless and completely overpriced. The customer service wasn’t servicing…. looked like teenagers kinda just doin whateverIt needs to be replaced with a Flame Broiler or they need to build a Flame Broiler in this plaza. Flame Broiler is inexpensive and very delicious

I ordered the steak bowl. Took me by a nice surprise to bite into the vegetables and enjoy a nice little crunch of the celery. Very good blend. Next time I'd ask for the steak to be cooked medium but other than that, the bowl was a great lunch. I enjoyed every bite and it didn't make me feel weighed down for the rest of the day. Service was really friendly and nice ambiance. I will definitely be coming back, and I'm so glad they have another location in Palmdale. Can't wait for my family to try.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Great food, great customer service. Smells great right when you open the door and tastes even better. I got the bowl with island, rice, veggies, steak, Jamaican jerk sauce, and spicy pineapple teriyaki sauce, and it tastes amazing. Like I said staff is super nice owner very, very nice and hospitable, not as well known as some other places in the SCV, but definitely up there in terms of taste and quality and service

Tried this place for the 1st time since they opened. Staff was so helpful & friendly. Owners made sure we were taken care of and even threw in a macaroni salad for us to try! I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and tasty the food was! We both had bowls. The rice & veggies were cooked perfectly, and the chicken & steak were tender & flavorful! I loved the spicy teriyaki & peanut sauce... Actually I loved all the sauces! I'm definitely coming back! Delish!

This was my first visit to FIG and I was impressed by this fast casual place. I interacted with 3 different employees and then Leo the owner. All were super friendly & helpful walking me through the (Hawaiian) menu and their personal favorites. I settled on a combo (beef & chicken) bowl which was on a bed of 'island' rice (white rice, black beans, coconut milk) and also had fresh vegetables on top of it. The protein portion size was just okay (given their prices), but after tasting it, I was blown away by the quality and it was well worth the price. The chicken was white meat and the beef was cooked perfectly and did not contain any grizzle/fat. This is often not the case at so called competitors. They have a few other 'base' (white rice, brown rice, & noodles) options and many other 'protein' (fish, shrimp, pork, chicken, & beef) options. I also ordered a side of their mango macaroni salad. This too was really good.

I ordered the platter with white rice, veggies, macaroni salad, and blackened shrimp. The veggies were crisp, the shrimp was well seasoned, and a good serving. The macaroni salad was so good! Overall delicious, fresh, and a generous serving. Try the mango salsa, it was delicious. I tried three different sauces and they were all delicious. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean and spacious. Lots of parking.

So, my hubby had been raving about this spot he stumbled upon in Thousand Oaks, and we figured, why not drag some pals along and see if it lives up to the hype? Right off the bat, the whole crew at the place welcomed us with open arms. It's cozy inside, so don't expect a dance floor, but it's got its charm. Plus, you get a front-row seat to the cooking action, which is always a bonus in my book. Now, let's talk grub. We mixed it up with our bowl orders - going all out with veggie, chicken, beef, and tofu options. And let me tell you, every single choice was a hit. We're talking perfectly fluffy rice, veggies sautéed to perfection, and meats and sauces that were like a match made in heaven. A little hiccup with our sauce choices (yeah, we're those people) but the staff was all grace and patience, swapping our picks without batting an eye. My other half was all about the jerk sauce, while the rest of us were team teriyaki pineapple - both seriously good, by the way. Bottom line: We're already planning our next visit. Not just for those bomb bowls but also for the kind of service that makes you feel right at home. Hats off to them!

Mmmmm. So got the shrimp bowl with brown rice and veggies. Shrimp was over-seasoned Veggies under-seasoned, and rice was no season, I mean at least add some salt to it. Will give it another try.

Oops, the taste and quality of food was simply lower than cafeteria food. Unable to share pics here but a big No for next time.
