Good Ramen. But I would have liked the eggs on the soft side and not hard boiled. Nice serving bowls and service. The older Asian lady that served me was nice and kind. The younger one could use some customer service training. For a medium bowl of ramen with a mini bowl and green tea, my bill was approximately $20. Menu is very limited. Giving it three stars because it could be better

From seeing the construction be done a year ago, I was extremely excited to find out Hokkaido Santouka would be coming to Valencia! This ramen chain is the most authentic ramen you can get anywhere in America besides spots in Little Tokyo like areas. It did in fact start in the mainland so that gives a good hint.As a Korean, I love ramen with all my heart and Japanese style ramen has a special place in my heart. The craving for a thick and rich broth cooked for hours and served in the perfect size with al dente ramen is satisfied from Santouka to the point that I don't have the urge to go all the way to Shin Sen Gumi in Little Tokyo for ramen.I go to school in Boston and that's actually where I tried it first, and let me tell you the ramen house has an average wait time of 40 minutes every single time of day all year long. But it is sooooo worth.I am a little sad it's in a food court and they don't have the whole menu, but I anticipate they'll add more and more based on what this city likes.Anyways, hands down arguably my all time favorite ramen place.P.S. Santouka is known for its tonkotsu (pork bone broth) style ramen. A lot of the ramen places in SCV are ship (salt) or shoyu (soy) based so be aware and know what type of ramen you like! Each ramen style is based on a different region in Japan, so appreciate each style as its own and don't compare in that way. :))))

Second time grabbing Ranen here. Spicy miso ramen with the pork belly and creamy broth is so good. The pork belly was a little over cooked and spicy was not that spicy. I personally enjoyed it better than Rococo Ramen Price is also comparable as other locations, portions are big and the staff is super friendly.

Best ramen in town. I had this when I was living in Toronto. I wish they had more options at this location, but I'm sure they will overtime as they gain popularity. It's odd that a few people have a bad review. They must be used to the local subpar ramen places they have acclimated to. I would really like to see the ice cold ramen or cold ramen options for summer time. Or just more of the items from the Toronto location.

Loved their spicy miso ramen... I wish they do deliveries or pick up. Craving for it...

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this place inside a mall food court was "why would I want to eat ramen at a mall when I have so many ramen restaurants to choose from in Los Angeles?" That question was soon answered when I checked how long the drive would be with LA traffic. So I decided to give this place a shot and I wasn't let down. I won't judge a ramen joint by its location again. I really appreciated the size options at this place. They range from small, medium and large. Very simple and efficient. They have a very authentic Japanese plastic food display with replicas of the dishes. It gives you a 3D visual of what the food looks like before your order. Pretty cool since these were all over Tokyo when I visited. The ramen as a whole was good I enjoyed it. I ordered a medium Spicy Miso w/ extra onion and a couple of Spicy Salmon Onigiri (pre packaged). The broth was smooth with a little heat. Also a tad nutty since they sprinkle in toasted sesame seeds. The pork was really tasty I liked how it was cooked. I'll def have this again when I'm around.

I usually go to Shin-sin-gumi on 2nd in LA but I received an alert from yelp so I thought I'd give it a go. I gave 4 stars because it's my first time here and I need a bigger sample size to bump up to 5 stars. It's was excellent, I took a receipt photo so you know what the prices are. About the same as downtown without the drive. So I'll be back regularly. I don't feel minor issues about anything should be said, because you can complain about everything in Life, so if you can't say something nice don't say anything. Sooooo Well done, see ya soon.

I love this ramen chain. My go to meal is the Tonkotsu shio ramen combo with the half fried rice and flavored egg. Absolutely delicious and they get the food out quick.

I used to drive down to Mitsuwa in Santa Monica for this! Now I'm so happy that we have one here in Santa Clarita!!Their spicy miso is my favorite! My daughter loves their salmon and salmon egg rice bowl. Big bonus is they accept credit cards! The one in Mitsuwa I believe is cash only.

I got a small ramen which I believe was just under $10. Honestly it's a good size. There are medium and large, but the small is good enough. I asked for to go, and upon getting home, found there to be just 1 fatty pork chashu. I suppose that's all that's included in a small ramen order.Ramen was delicious, not super salty. I got the miso. With an extra costing egg. I also got the salmon & tuna onigiri. Those were less good, a lot drier and harder rice. But anyway, this place is known for their ramen which was decent and tasty enough even though it's located in the mall's food court. I've tried their other location in Culver City inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace. I think this location is better than Culver City.

Don't assume that the quality of ramen here is bad just because it's in the mall food court area. The ramen here is solid and very tasty and would highly recommend trying out. I got the tonkontsu miso ramen combo that comes with a rice bowl(either salmon roe or BBQ pork) and a flavored egg. The flavored egg is just a boiled egg with soy sauce. But the egg goes great with the ramen. The broth itself was good with the noodle but it does get pretty salty when trying to just drink the broth. The pork chashu was well done and very tender. I really liked the salmon roe and it tastes much better than the pork BBQ but you have to be okay with eating raw salmon roe(eggs).

Can't believe Hokkaido decided to grace Valencia with their presence, but Im soo glad they did. We would go to their Culver City location when we were in the area, so I couldn't believe it was coming to our mall. Finally, a decent ramen place! For all those people who say the other ramen places in Valencia are legit, I beg to differ. The broth has to be done a certain way and Hokkaido does it right. It might not be as good as the LA/OC locations, but I really, really hope it does well in the mall!! Don't want it to go away!!

I am not really into Ramen...to me it is not that filling and I tend to get stuff on my shirt when I eat the noodles...I can't explain it but I typically am not drawn to it. My family is the opposite and they love ramen so I met them for lunch at the mall that is right by my work. They updated the furniture in the food court so it actually is nice to eat there. When I looked across and saw they were at the new ramen place I just sighed inside, but it turned out to be nice.I just shared my wife's ramen bowl because it was larger (even though she ordered a medium). The flavor of the dish was excellent and being that she got something I actually would order I thought after it was a great choice. The service was quick and the counterperson knew what she was talking about. When you order they don't make you stand around, given a pager it was just a few minutes and the order was ready and the family was happy.

As much as I don't eat ramen because of the carbs and high salt content, this place was definitely a must try for me. I've been to JINYA ramen in the past and this place tasted similar to the noodles at a lower price. The person who makes the ramen noodles in the back must have had experience in Japan to make such amazing noodles. The taste is delicious, the broth was seasoned well, the bowls had flavor and more importantly, was not as salty as the one I had at JINYA. I try to avoid places like these because of how well I usually liKe to make ramen myself, but even the meat slices were of highest quality. It was tender and didn't have a harder texture to bite into. The place is new and the prices fall between 9-11$ for the small, medium and large bowls. There are combos as well that run steep into the 16-19$ range but you get a high quality egg from Japan and a rice bowl with high quality salmon, beef or pork on top. There are sushi rolls as well offered inside a container space that run about $6-10 depending on the roll. They had California rolls, spicy salmon rolls and inari rolls. The customer service was okay, the woman working was not of Asian decent, but was pleasant and smiled to customers as they ordered. Most of the customers in line were Asian so I figureed that it would be good by visual perception.

When I think about good ramen I definitely didn't expect to find it in a food court at the mall. It's like getting sushi at a convenience store.. pretty risky. But Hokkaido came through with a good bowl of ramen! And it's affordable! Btw life is too short to be risking it all on a spicy tuna roll at the gas station down the street. Don't do it!Now it is just a food court ramen place so there's only 4 options of ramen, but 4 is really all you need in my opinion. And I love that they display the look of exactly what you get. Simple and easy. Tonkotsu shio, shoyu, miso, and spicy miso. I got the spicy and in a medium size ($9.95)Felt like this was a perfect size, and they gave more noodles than I was expecting. Pork was flavorful and soft, the ramen broth itself wasn't too bad, a little too salty. Broth flavor was what you would expect from a mall place. They do more than just ramen too. Sushi, fried rice and a pork bowl as a side if you wanted to pair it as a combo with your ramen. And just an fyi, getting an egg in your ramen is an extra paid add on. Girl working the register was friendly enough but make sure to bring your bowl back to the counter! Staff in the kitchen was quick. No line. It's a 4 star for me. Ramen flavor was good but not elite. If you're exhausted from doing hours of shopping for stuff you don't need and want to take a break? Give them a try!
