Cafe GSC is fantastic.Been coming here for many years because the food is always delicious and makes you feel good.Among my favorites are the I Am Daring (buffalo cauliflower), the I Am Soulful (tempeh reuben?) with the nacho potatoes upgraded side.Their food is organic, almost entirely made in house from scratch/sourced locally and fresh. They have a cool mural inside the entire restaurant including many local landmarks, and Cafe G is a locally owned/family owned business too. Cool peeps!Absolutely worth a visit if you haven't tried their food yet.

Great vegan food in SC area. We’ve tried several dishes and they were all tasty. I wished the chipotle sauce would not come on literally almost every meal for more variety. And the key lime pie was sour not sweet at all. I don’t recommend that one. I think if they’d add some maple syrup in it would be excellent. The service is non existent. Your order in the front, pay your service charge plus tip and no one will ever check in with you again other than being you the food. So maybe next time don’t leave a tip on top of the service charge. All in all I would definitely eat here again.

Visiting SC for the first time as an adult, and as a vegan, this foodie had to make a few stops for vegan nom noms. This was restaurant number 2. It was so hard deciding what to order. The staff was so patient with me and answered my questions. After contemplating for like 10 whole minutes I finally went with the Rueben with the potatoes upgrade and both the mild almond and cashew chipotle sauces. Every bit of it was so-friggin-good! The potatoes were cooked to perfection, the sauces were both flavorful. The Rueben was smaller than expected so the flavor and beautiful colors made up for it, not to mention how filling the tators are. I also got the avo lime cheesecake which was ok-many ppl raved about it so I thought I'd love it knowing how much I love avo and lime. Something about it though made my taste buds react odd lol. I couldn't finish everything so I had the other half of the Rueben for lunch the next day and it was fine. So were the potatoes but I just let them warm up to room temperature instead of reheating them cuz I didn't want the sauce to dry out. A good decision cuz it was still so good!

I hadn't eaten here since they were called Cafe Gratitude, but even after so much time, the food is still good here. This is the first time that I've ever liked cauliflower wings! I see why that's one of the most popular items here. The potato bites are good, too. The soup is enjoyable with nice big chunks of hominy corn. The desserts could use a little work, in my opinion. I tried the avocado key lime cheesecake and the raw cookie dough ball, and neither particularly stood out. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-08

I love everything about this place! The service was outstanding, the food is creative and fresh, and the environment is fun!The choices were so exciting for me that it actually made it challenging to order since it was my first time. Everything sounded delicious! I went with tacos and one of their fabulous unusual drinks and enjoyed every morsel and drop.I look forward to returning asap.I am also grounding a few friends for not introducing me to the place sooner, lol!Vegetarian options: It's all vegetarian

Everything here is really good!!! I love that they let you substitute. The powerful wellness shot is my favorite drink I wish I could buy in bottles!Review # 2 We had the "fish tacos" and holy moly!!!! Crispy with flavor and if I lived closer I would eat everyday! This is my go to place when visiting every summer! I'm not even vegan and this is my favorite restaurant!Vegetarian options: They do vegan right! If I could eat here everyday I would become vegan!

The Couragous coffee with hazelnut milk is a childhood reminder of Baskin Robbins coffee flavored ice cream. The avocado key lime pie was very light in lime but the smoothest decadent of flavor. A must try because it is an experience. My burger was good, but nothing to write home about.

We are not vegans, but I was desperate for some veges while on vacation in Santa Cruz and we decided to give it a try. The food blew us away. As others have mentioned, the portions are huge so my husband and I shared an appetizer, meal, and dessert and it was plenty. The caprese sandwich was swoon-worthy, as was the salad that accompanied it. Also recommend the key lime pie (though beware, it's very filling!). Service was outstanding. Loved that we could eat outside. We will definitely come back here next time we are in town. A real gem!

We had a nice dinner here - BLT sandwich and the Amore Caprese sandwich, plus a good Key Lime Pie.

Nice atmosphere. Well painted art on the walls. Really nice staff. So I got the full Grateful Bowl and a Revive Limeade with mint leaves. The bowl had quinoa and rice, black beans, a spring mix of green leafy vegetables and some kind of sauce that looked like it may have had avocado mixed in with it. It was good but I felt it was lacking something... Maybe a second protein meat or other vegetables. Which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. First impression is a lasting one! The limeade was super good. For all you Mojito fans out there, it tastes a lot like one. It looks like this restaurant specializes in a raw diet/cooked. It was decent overall. I would definitely try something else here. The whole restaurant is super clean and carries a really good vibe. They have dessert options too that I didn't delve into. The intention of this restaurant is very good. Lots of Mexican dishes. Some dishes are nicer than others. The salads we ordered could use a little more flavor punch. The cakes are excellent.
