This is a great place for a quick and filling meal. The tofu rice bowl with vegan kimchi, carrots and bean sprouts was bomb. I will return here, it's like a high quality fresh Chipotle for Korean bowls.

The quality of the food has really taken a dive. Not only were they missing like 4 different ingredients in our order but the rice was overcooked the kimchi just tasted like regular cabbage the sauce was bland and so was the steak. I do not recommend this HoM

The chicken taste really good when its done right and it doesn’t sit for too long. Otherwise its just dry. I did an uber eats oder yesterday and needed to pay obviously an additional 13$ for it to be delivered. So my meal was all together $27 and basically i got rice and dried burnt chicken. I live down the street from Hom Korean in San Jose. Usually i go in person and double make sure that the chicken looks fresh before ordering.( i always ask the worker to show ne the chicken)If it doesn’t look fresh, i just leave and try again some other day. That is ridiculous. Asian box does a better job for the same price. Maybe ask asian box how they do it?!

Great place to get fast Korean soul food. Generous portion sizes. Got the firecracker pork which was delicious

If a bowl from here was a dollar it'd be awesome. But since a bowl is $15 minimum, for what you are paying, it's trash.

A little less than mediocre. Service style was like a "chipotle" - they build the Korean bowl while moving your food down the line. We had lunch for 4. Observations: - Rice was undercooked, rather inedible. - Beef was cold and over seasoned. Which made it less tasty, but also a food safety issue. -Firecracker pork good, not great. - Spicy tofu fine - Korean vegetables were OK. Overall, had that vibe of a restaurant that started strong, grew too fast, and is now managed (badly) by teenagers and young adults who lack attention to detail - no one paying attention to quality. Too bad - as a concept, its a very good one. Price is pretty cheap - $12 for the tofu bowl, $14 for the beef bowl. But disappointing. Would rather pay more for something wonderful, or pay less and go to fast food and get consistently quality.

Paul the manager HOOKED IT UP. He was so nice, gave us a student discount, and gave us extra rewards. He was very nice and made great conversation. The food was great and fresh. Thanks :)

This was our first time having Korean and this place is great. The food is amazing especially the Hodo Tofu. What makes it even better is that the service was even better than our meal! We even made sure to ask for the manager Paul's name because he really goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and has a great attitude. We went on a super busy night and he even went back to make one of the things my wife wanted that they were out of despite us saying he didn't need to do that. Great service!

finally checked out the joint after living here for almost 3 years. 9/15/22 so this joint is alright. big bowls and pricy. but there is an option of getting a small bowl too. so the price is ok. gets you a massive amount of food portion. i got the firecracker pork. if youre the type of person getting spicy. that is the dish you want to get. came in not so busy day at 3pm. overall, its an alright joint to grab a quick bowl. but if you want the all korean food experience, go around the corner for the restaurant called Sesame.

The HOM in downtown SC is probably the most flavorful, filling and affordable food joint there. I always come here for a quick meal or when my group can’t decide where to go. Initially I found this a bit pricy for a broke college student, but later realized that the quantity for the price is amazing! The serving size is pretty generous although you have an option of a small bowl too. I would like to praise the manager, Paul and other servers for their awesome hospitality. When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by “Welcome HOM(e)!” Definitely give it a try!

If you looooooove a bomb korean diner and fabulous awesome mindful customer service HōM is where you’ll find it ! Our server Paul was a refreshing welcoming bright gentleman who made sure our service was A1 ! Spent the day in Santa Cruz at the boardwalk and this was a perfect intermission for us in between fun the vibes and homey open style dining gave it a fresh inviting atmosphere 10/10 !

Seems very unassuming on a Sunday afternoon on 9/11/2022...the service provided by Kristine and Paul was top notch! The only 2 running the show during a somewhat busy lunch hour. They're so kind, patient, and accommodating. We ordered 2 bowls for the family which was more than enough for 3 people with leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The condiments were tasty, the beers were cold... The food was good. We'd come here again because we can appreciate the service ;)

Used to LOVE this place. Unfortunately they are now selling premade bowls for $18 when it used to be $14. With a tip, I can't justify $20 because it is good but not $20 good :( probably won't be returning
