too much rice. I don't know if it's just when you order the all you can eat, but the sushi pieces were disproportionately large, with way too much rice. same goes for the California roll, disproportionately large and too much rice. it's in all you can eat so they charge you for what you have left on your plate. so they make the sushi difficult to eat ?other than that everything was fine.I can't say anything bad about it really.Kid-friendliness: there is a kids menu if you consider teriyaki beef or teriyaki chicken bento box a kids menu

Quite comfortable Japanese restaurant in Santa cruz. You could have a meal by yourself as Japan.Dietary restrictions: I suppose that Japanese restaurant wouldn't be fit with Korean noodle. It's more likely suitable for Japanese style pork ramen. I would look for Korean noodle at Korean restaurant.

Great little restaurant nested away on the corner with a few others, that serves up quite the selection of cozy comforts in the area. Happy to drop in with a friend or go it solo, and enjoy the dumplings or pot stickers with fresh hot tea and a variety of delicious Asian soups.Parking: Free small lot front, paid parking across the street.

Most importantly, the food quality and portions were very, very good. I thought it was a bit pricey but for as much as we love sushi, it was satisfactory. We had a bit of trouble finding May's because it is no longer on Soquel Avenue... it is in a very good location downtown Santa Cruz at 429 Front Street and it is no longer called May's Sushi. It is owned by Sesame Korean Grill and in the same corner The service was very good. The quantity was more than we expected so had to cancel part of our order. Luckily, she kept an eye on us and anticipated us canceling. We would definitely return.

Food was really tasty not a whole lot of places to sit but that's fine we sat by the window and there was a couple nice bushes on the outside that we can see through the glass there's a sushi bar that you can sit at and more seating around the back we got all you can eat and it was freshly made everything was really good the sushi was made to order and was tasty their specialty rolls are very good and have a good recipes and ingredients it was only two ladies working and the main customer service lady was very friendly she seemed to be a little overworked but she was still very nice

Good food, quick service. New Location (Mori) has AYCE with less items than before.

Honestly a rough experience. I had very high hopes of this all you can eat sushi spot. Of course I purchased the all you can eat option and was disappointed as all the cheaper options came out first, loaded with fried bits of nothing. A tactic to fill me up and get me to pay the remaining food fee. The service was creepy at best and I really would not recommend if you are trying to indulge in quality sushi.

I do not have a favorite sushi restaurant in Santa Cruz yet after living here for three years, but I this I've found it now at Mori Sushi! (May's Sushi?) We had all you can eat (AYCE), so I tried a lot on the menu: gyoza, egg rolls, yellow tail nigiri, snapper nigiri, spicy tuna rolls, and a few of their specialty rolls. Everything was delicious.

Very hot environment! Ramen noodles were from package not made and the broth was nothing special. I dropped $179 for a family of five. Not worth it!!!!The sushi was ok not great. They served us water with no ice while no air conditioning in their establishment. I had to ask for ice. Will not be going back.
