Interesting experience worth a try at least once. The young lady bartender on a Sunday night was better than the young guy with glasses. I tried 2 kava drinks and didn’t really feel much. The cacao hot drink with habanero (does not come with kava) was tasty though! Dog friendly ?

I visited the Santa Cruz location andstreet performers came in with saxophones. They were incredibly entertaining and even had the chance toplay part of an instrumental version of the song Barbie Girl before getting kicked out by one of the employees with a man-bun. All the customers were having a great time and were very amused. I'm not sure why we were robbed of free and great entertainment shrug ??

Walked in here just because the lights were attractive but had no idea what it was. Asked someone outside if it was serving alcohol or weed, they said "neither!" And another person told us to go in there and find out. The bartender was super friendly and introduced us to kava. Your mouth feels a little numb when you drink it and you're supposed to feel super relaxed and happy. I live that they wear a little glitter as part of their style. I ordered the Melo dream which is recommend for anyone who likes sweet drinks. Melo dream smelled like sweet coconut milk and was smooth and delicate. Also tried the traditional kava which tastes very earthy.

Kava is an unctuous and silky drink made from a root! Mildly euphoric and stress relieving. It refreshed my burnt out, socially exhausted mind without a hangover.

I’ve been here twice and only had kava twice. I would say it’s interesting! I can’t imagine getting sick from it or being too impaired to drive ? but everyone is different. The ambiance is nice. They have live greenery on the wall and the kava is served in a nice little bowl. I will say the service is on the slower side.

This is a very special place. It has a great vibe, with friendly staff and a nice crowd. Staff is very knowledgable about kava; they will tell you all about it! The stuff is not cheap, though, so if you quit drinking alcohol and/or smoking weed and think you're gonna save $ by coming here, think again lol. But they have a buy 2 get one free deal from 12-6 daily. You can also purchase growlers, powder, and micronized kava for home use.There's a nice mix of people who come here, including a significant "recovery" crowd. As one who is not interested in alcohol or marijuana -- but still likes to catch a light buzz -- kava is perfect for me. It can hit me "hard" for maybe 20 minutes, and then dissipates nicely. It tastes positively awful to me, but I enjoy its effects. If you don't like the taste, they will put it in "cocktails" which are tasty, but then you don't get the mouth-numbing effect that I enjoy so much!If you're new to kava, be careful when drinking for the first time. It can definitely impair your driving, although this effect wears off rather quickly.

Love their different types of Kava. I personally don't love the taste of kava but enjoy the feeling so I got the fizzy drink and that was delicious. We went at opening time so many drinks weren't available to drink yet but looking forward to my next time
