For all the good reviews, I had high hopes. The pizza was cardboard thin, with watery sauce, and burnt crust. It was expensive and not worth the money.

The establishment was very surfer dude and totally dude. The gluten free pizza with dairy free cheese , too many pepperdew, and large vampire garlic cloves. Slice them thin people! Nobody wants those whole partially cooked roasted garlic cloves.

This is our favorite pizza my heart location. The restaurant is big enough to accommodate larger groups. They have plenty of workers so the restaurant operates like a well oiled machine. The workers are super sweet and accommodating as well. We will always make a stop here while in town.

I absolutely love the ambiance at Pizza My Heart in Downtown Santa Cruz, especially with the framed pictures of average folks adding to its charm. Here's a tip for those unaware: Instead of paying $6 for a slice, grab one of their awesome t-shirts for just $8 or $9 and get a free slice with it. You're welcome! I rated it 4 out of 5 because while the slices are generous, I've had pizza elsewhere that's truly to die for.
