Food was tasty. We ordered Chicken satay, house dumpling, spicy fried rice, pineapple red curry (chicken n shrimp) and chowmein. However service could have been better.

The food was excellent. I dislike duck, but ordered it anyways, I hated the duck but the vegetables with the sauce were so good that I enjoyed my meal anyways. The waitress was kind and patient with our party. Unfortunately, they added an 18% service charge without telling anyone, or having some sort of of sign indicating that there would be a service charge. Had I been informed, it would have been a nonissue. On top of the service charge and my own incompetence of not looking at the bill, I left a 20% tip. The bill should have been around 130 but ended up being closer to 200 instead. Overall, I had a terrible financial experience with this restaurant.

It had great food. Great service. I just don't think it's as authentic as i'm used to, coming from a Lao/Thai/Cambodian background. However, it is still very yummy and I will be going back !

The food is nice but the staff is nicer. And ask for extra spice. Its a decent option for a meal near the Boardwalk.Fried Rice dishes are your best bet.

This place has really nice ambience. The window seating is top notch! You get the beautiful beach seen. The noodle soup was lackluster. It didn't come with any basil, lime, jalapeño, hoisin or chile paste. (Not what we are used to) the broth was really salty. My son didn't eat his food. My pad tai was yummy but had no heat. (I should of ordered it spicy) my daughter had a dish with sea food and veggies. She said it was very delicious. Our service was on point. All in all it was a good experience. Especially for being at the beach flats.

Great for gluten free, dairy free people. My mother and I loved their pad kee mao (altered to be GF - it was still amazing). My nephew who likes spicy dishes lit up for their pad ped that I ordered with chicken. Great service, cool atmosphere inside. Enter by climbing a staircase from the street, making it feel like a secret romantic spot. They have window seats and a balcony overlooking the beach, though we kept getting takeout to the hotel. Highly recommended for safe, reliable nutritious options. Thank you!

Food (2/5): Pad See Ew was way too salty, the yellow curry was lukewarm, and the Thai iced tea was too sweet. Could definitely step up in terms of cooking. Service (3/5): Restaurant was quite busy and there seemed to only be a couple waitresses, so perhaps this contributed to slow service. It took a while for them to acknowledge and seat us at the entrance and our food order didn't get taken for 20 minutes. Fortunately once I got up to ask and complain about it, the food came out fast and the servers were friendly and helpful. Venue (5/5): Beautiful venue with large glass windows whereby you can see the amazing beach and boardwalk. Restaurant was well decorated and mostly clean.

Wow!! 10/10. Yellow curry is excellent, one of the best I've ever had. Perfect balance of spice (I got mild and it was true to what I wanted) While my partner got Pad Thai, mmm.. fantastic, fresh, tofu. Friendly wait staff. AND THE VIEW!!! Highly recommend this establishment.

I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice to go initially; The lady was very nice on the phone. We didn't have trouble finding parking since it was 30 min before closing. The dessert was surprisingly very good. Perfect texture and coconut sweetness, mango slices were ripe! Hubby ordered the fried catfish, less salt.. and it was very tasty. Love the ocean view... perfect spot for a nice dinner date!

This Thai Restaurant is the worst restaurant on the planet: I am a chef cooking Thai Food. This place is not fit to feed a dog to eat: July 03, 2022.It’s seem like they reheated their old food: Some of their food taste rotten. So disappointed and over price: order seafood salad, pad Thai, eggs plant, and no free rice. They charge for rice.$170.00 do not eat at this place. Will be your worst night. This place deserve ZERO ⭐️!All their dishes taste the same sauce. They need to replace their chef. After reading and you still go, the. You deserve to lose your money.

07/3/2022 this is the worst food ever. I cook Thai food and delicious food. This restaurant is expenses and their food is not worth to feed my dog. $170 for pad Thai, seafood salad and bowl rice. Zero star

I cannot BELIEVE this place has gotten anything above one star! We went for dinner around 8, four people. We were sat after a short wait and ordered beers and our food. The appetizers, shrimp rolls & crab rolls came after about 15 minutes. The shrimp was RAW, literally raw and chewy...barely warm inside. We couldn't eat them. The crab rolls were crab, cream cheese & glass noodles. The cream cheese was ice cold and the noodles gave it a strange texture. Also couldn't finish those. I ordered pineapple fried rice and it was bland and completely imbalanced - there were more onions, pineapples, and raisins than rice and it tasted oily & sweet - no other flavor. Just when I thought the hits couldn't keep coming, my partner let me try his yellow curry - also bland. This place clearly capitalizes on location and should consider replacing the cook. The only positive was that the staff was friendly.

We usually stop by here for dinner when we visit Santa Cruz. The location is excellent and you get great views. The food is always great except for a couple of items lately why I am taking one star off. The crab rolls are suppose to be deep fried but lately they are cold on the inside. I got it togo yesterday and I can back informed them they offered my a replacement which was great but I was already going out of town. It is the second time this happened. I love the jalapeño fried fish dish which is a favorite for me. A little bit on the pricey side but you pay more for the great views.

Sawasdee by the Sea offers good Thai food at reasonable prices. The service was attentive and helpful, and the food we ordered was great: red curry with lots of veggies and tofu, a side order of brown rice, and a delicious pad see’ew. Located on the third floor of the building, the dining room offered a clear view of the Santa Cruz boardwalk and wharf. We enjoyed our dinner there very much.
