The food was outstanding, we had the one of the daily specials and our server was very friendly.

The staff were polite and nice and the food was great, but I expected more from their service; It took around 10 minutes for someone to bring us water and another 5 for someone to come and take our order. Also the appetizer came a few minutes after the main dish.

I've been going to stagneros ever since I was a boy. I was looking forward to going to have lunch after they reopened.Very disappointed that the restaurant has come to this... Don't order the clam chowder, it's very salty and not like the way it used to be. stay away from the crab sandwich. Definitely not worth the price and all you can taste is the oily butter that they grilled the sandwich with. The only plus they have is the staff. I will try again some other time hopefully they're better next time ?

The best fish tacos with grilled fish, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and lime juice. We ordered "to go" to eat it while enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean. It was a little waiting time, but it was well worthwhile with the final result.

We grabbed some popular items and sat outside to enjoy the fresh air and great ocean views. The food is plenty! Highly recommend the fish tacos! I don’t know what fish they use for the fish and chips, but it’s kinda plain compared to the salmon fish and chips we normally get in Vancouver. The sea food chowder is definitely creamier and heavier American version compared to their northern neighbour’s. Sourdough is always good in this area. Still good enough to make us happy for our choices.

Everything about this restaurant is a 5, hands down. All the food I had was so delicious!!! I had half clams and half mussels, the award winning clam chowder, and the snapper fish with veggies special. I also had the peach on the beach drink which was very good. All of the servers were attentive by quietly taking our dishes, napkins, and refilling water ( it was so nice and cold ❤️) so naturally. The place was clean too!!! This the best service I’ve had my whole trip. Give the chef and servers a raise plz. ??

We won't be back. We had the Calamari and Fries, Fish and chips, coconut shrimp, and clam chowder. The calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was perfectly cooked and had excellent flavor. The tiny squid legs were burnt though. The coconut shrimp was okay. It would have been nice to have had some sort of a fun little dipping sauce for the shrimp. The clam chowder was okay. The flavor was good, but the texture was almost shy of gelatinous. The fish and chips - the fish was very dry and tough, and bland. I thought it was just me, but my husband was also pretty disappointed. For a $20 fish and chips & great reviews we were surprised and disappointed. We just expected better. We will not make that mistake again. It seems they are lacking in consistency for that dish. I wouldn't gamble on it again. I have had higher quality dishes at this price point, so I don't think we were getting bargain seafood dishes, but it felt like it. The only good thing was the calamari. The staff were nice though.

During a quick visit to Santa Cruz, we stumbled upon Stagnaro Bros. seafood at the far end of the Santa Cruz Wharf. It was kind of a chilly and cloudy day so we ordered New England clam chowder at the outside counter. The service was quick and the chowder was excellent. Being from New England, I can attest to the fact that this chowder stacks up well against the best in Boston. Great job.

Today, we made a stop at Stagnaro Bros on the pier for lunch. It was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and deliciousness of everything we ordered. Our server, Fernando, mentioned that he usually worked as a bartender, but today marked his first day as a server. We found him to be exceptionally kind and skilled, and we're confident he'll excel in both roles. For our meal, we tried the clam chowder, chili lime prawn tacos, and fish and chips. The portions were generously sized, and even though we shared, we still had to take home two large, delicious soft tacos.Parking on the pier was a bit challenging today due to the beautiful weather, with seals making an appearance. Normally, in my experience, parking is easier. It's worth noting that it wasn't expensive to park on the pier.I recommend this restaurant for families or casual outings. It has a relaxed seafood vibe, a fantastic view of the water and boardwalk, and it's a great spot for people-watching.They also offer a to-go counter, although we dined in this time. This being our first experience, we'll see how things go in the future, but all in all, we were extremely satisfied with our lunch choice today.
