My son wanted at that marshmallow topping I've been telling him about. An outpost of the Santa Cruz legend, Penny Creamery, we found street parking and popped into this very small ice cream shop. $5.50 for a golf ball size $6.50 for a baseball size. Pricey, but they use fresh and quality ingredient. The mint chip tastes as if you are eating fresh mint! The lovely lady helping us was friendly, although definitely a bit sparse on the marshmallow topping. It was just a quick dollop and I think a wee bit more would have went a long way. The waffle cones at no extra charge are delicious and a great compliment to the creamy ice cream. Overall, really rich and smooth ice cream. A delicious treat, albeit a bit pricey for price/size.

Hands down the best vanilla bean ice cream out there. The dark chocolate is amazing too which is shocking because it’s vegan. Been coming here for years and 4 years ago I would have given this 6/5 stars. But now… my god. The portions have gotten so tiny for the price. Like laughable. This is coming from someone who likes to see more than one dollar sign on google to determine the good craft ice cream place. This was $6.50. Unreal.

In short, Disappointed. With a few more details, Saw this place on social media and I was fooled. I thought it would be real good but the ice cream was sub par and service too. I didn't like most of the flavors they had, and when you ask for the jam topping it goes in a cup on the side and it was insanely sweet. Ended up being very messy and not a great experience.

All I can say is Affogatos are the best thing in the world and unfortunately hard to find. It’s was not the best in my life here because the cup is not well adapted but the combination of the Verve’s cafe and this vanilla ice cream is a great one.
