I had never been to the sandwich spot, so on a hot day my friends and I decided to visit. (We were the only ones in the building for about 5 or 10 minutes after placing our order) At first everything started out good until after we placed our order. The establishment is big and the door is right in front of the register. After placing our orders we moved to the right hand side of the restaurant, never stepping foot outside again. (They have tables set out with chairs, so I do not understand how he was confused about our whereabouts.) After almost half an hour waiting and many more customers coming and going one of our friends asked if our sandwiches were done. The employee working let us know he never made them because he thought we left. Which we were all confused about since we had PAID and NEVER LEFT through the only door which is right in front of him. He said he would make them. He gave my friends their sandwiches and once again, I was left waiting another 15 minutes as he finished the orders of customers that came 15 minutes after us. Apart from the order taking super long, he did not make any sandwich right. I picked the pacific one which only has 3 main ingredients one of those being avocado. He somehow forgot to add avocado and cheese to mine as well as cheese to my friends sandwich's. My friend asked for cheese and he realized he forgot that in every sandwich and told her he as well forgot avocado in mine. It was as well not very appetizing to eat there as there were many flies in the building and they had food out on the extra tables--there was bread half closed on one table. It was very bad service and left a really bad impression of the sandwich spot as that was our first time. I gave two stars for the sandwiches. While they took super long and were wrong, they were good for what the contained.

The service could not have been worse. The sandwich was terrible. The prices were high. The seating was limited. The sandwich artist effectively found the slowest way to operate. At the end of our time they were yelling at customers to not come in because they were so behind (due to their inefficiency -- it was not a "rush" by any conventional definition). If only we were so lucky to have been rejected.

I was looking for a gluten free sandwich, the spot delivered. Price was pretty much what I expected ($12-$14). I got a Seabright on gluten free bread minus the cheese, which was still delicious. * Personally I would've liked a larger sandwich for $14 because I have an endless appetite * although I liked that they don't charge extra for gluten free bread. Which by the way only comes in slices. There is indoor seating (a single long table, fits 10 ish) and outdoor tables (2 small tables) Docked another star because the employee was sweeping the floor about 5 feet away as I was eating my sandwich outside. That's a no no.

They got a lot of my order wrong. We ordered avocado on all three sandwiches and none of them had it. One of the sandwiches had no mustard or mayo (we asked for both). The other one came with onions after I had asked for no onions. I also ordered two bags of chips and we never got it. I am very disappointed. However, they do have good quality ingredients and it tastes very yummy! In summary, the sandwich could be really great if they get everything correct.

A Sunday with not more than 3 other customers and they took almost 40 min. That is outrageous for a sandwich spot. I would rather go to subway or stay home. Update : one of my two sandwiches was completely incorrect. What a bummer !

Sandwich was good, the location was busy took over 30 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. Next time will preorder online to pick up. Fresh ingredients .

The sandwiches are amazing, and the coffee is to die for. Any time I visit Santa Cruz from San Jose, I make a point to get a sandwich here.

The sandwiches at this spot are very lack luster. I figured the high rating this restaurant received along with its prime location equaled delicious sandwiches, I was sadly mistaken. Very boring bland sandwiches. My boyfriend and I split a chicken pesto and turkey avocado sandwich, both of which were dry and hard to finish. Two stars for the cute decor ( on one side of the room, the other was being remodeled).

Good sandwich spot. I appreciate they offer gluten free bread and it's not terrible like most gluten free options. Some good veggie options as well. They always have very fresh avocado and are generous with it.

It might have been because we were just hungry, but the sandwich I had here was so delicious. The sauces that they use in pair wonderfully with the sandwiches, and they seem to use fresh ingredients. The only complaint that I have is is that it took a while for the sandwiches to be finished, but the service was real nice and the girl behind the counter brought everyone's sandwiches back to the table as well.

We are so glad to have found this delicious and satisfying sandwich shop. Sandwiches are made fresh to order. I had the Giant Dipper - YUMMY; get it with everything! Shop owner is friendly, hard working and quick. This is our new favorite sandwich shop in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend this shop for a quick and tasty bite!

Wife and I ordered a couple of the Phoebe sandwiches, one of their veggie options. It was fine and was good sized, but they clearly skimped on the higher priced ingredients like avocado and opted to stuff it to the brim with cheaper ingredients like lettuce. Price point was solid but the sandwich was super underwhelming.

The sandwiches are insanely delicious, and the bomb sauce is irresistible. One star off because they got my order wrong one time, but not much could stop me from coming back here. Unpopular opinion, but I like it more than Zoccholi's. My favorite sandwich spot (get it?) in town. Tip: Get the Seabright, and their Vietnamese iced coffee! It made my day.

Visiting Santa Cruz for the day, wanted something quick to eat and this spot caught our eye. Super friendly staff and the sandwiches were honestly super good, you'll for sure get your money's worth. I had a hard time taking my first bite of the sandwich it was so stacked! Get the Dutch crunch for your sandwich!
