Worst take out sushi I've ever encountered. Miso soup so salty it's not edible almost like someone dumped soy sauce into it. Yellowtail on Baja roll and nigiri tasted moldy. Lobster roll has almost all imitation crab with very little "lobster". Not giving this place a second chance. Take out included no soy sauce or utensils.

The food here is great and it’s always fun to come here with friends or family, my only criticism is that sometimes the rolls are a little big and takeout isn’t as good as eating in, but that’s kinda normal especially with sushi. Overall it’s a great place and I highly recommend visiting here.

First time trying this Sushi place, upon arrival we noticed they emerge busy so thought maybe we found a good sushi place here in Orcutt! Boy was I wrong!!! Chicken teriyaki was very dry and teriyaki sauce was thick and lumpy. We order a couple rolls and after trying the first roll immediately got grossed out. Strong rotten fishy taste. I have eaten sushi my whole life and never experienced this horrible quality. As we left my son was starting to have a stomach ache. Safe to say we won’t be going back! It was hard to pay the $85 bill. Safe to say we won’t be going back or recommending this place.

This is my first and last visit. The takeout service was friendly and they gave me extra sauce when I asked when I picked up my order. The ambiance was bright and decor was rustic and confusing. The food was awful, my stomach is upset and I feel queasy. I threw away 75% of my lunch as soon as my stomach got upset. I ordered 4 cut rolls for my husband and I to eat. The fish smelled and tasted fishy even with all the spicy sauce. I told myself, don't eat it. But I was starving so I ate some of it. Shame on me. It did not look appetizing when we opened our to go box. The Albertsons sushi rolls are better made and the quality of their fish is better. I wish I went there and spent my $30 for better food.
Great staff, good eats! Sushi was great, spicy pork bento was not bad. The bento comes with a assortment of things which is why I keep coming back. I will definitely try the short ribs on my next visit.

What happened?! We've been enjoying the great quality of food at this place for years. The sashimi servings are always very generous and the kitchen fare is always enjoyable...until now. This time, the tempura was soggy and oily. Reminded me of the poorly battered shrimp at Chinese restaurants. And for some reason, the grilled teriyaki beef was sour and barely cooked. The tempura dipping sauce tasted too fishy, overpowered with bonito flake flavoring. Even the rice was off...hard and clumpy. The miso soup also tasted fishy, similar to the tempura dipping sauce. Did a new owner take over, cutting corners? At least the sashimi was good, but everything else seriously missed the mark. Sad.

Best sushi around. Great prices and way bigger sized rolls than other places. The service isn't the best sometimes because they're trying to prep call in orders but other than that it's my all time favorite bang for your buck sushi place

My favorite is the beef short ribs bowl. Great flavor, generous portion and a quick order. I frequent this place all the time.

The quality has continuously gone down hill, along with the service. Several times we have ordered recently they have forgotten items, and they are super stingy with their soy sauces. I haven't said anything until tonight. Not only did we not get the eel sauce that comes with the rolls we ordered, they also failed to give the extra eel sauce that I paid extra for, as well as the avocado I paid extra for them to add to a roll. Then they only gave us 4 soy packets with our four rolls. When I called, they expected us to return with the rolls, or offered us $5 discount off our next meal. There won't be a next meal!
