We were on our way to Paso Robles from Los Angeles and needed lunch. This is a great area with a lot of solid choices. Wife saw Urbane Cafe as an option and I've eaten at another location before. We ordered the cilantro chicken salad and the tomato bisque soup and salad combo with 2 cookies and drinks. Food was excellent. Staff was friendly. There's limited indoor seating but options outside. Drinks are serve yourself and not standard choices. Cookies were delicious too. A great choice for a meal!

I came back after being gone for a while and everything continues to be all around excellent! My tri-tip sandwich was tender, moist, and prepared exactly as I ordered it. Fresh salad, soft, warm, chocolate chip cookie, and such wonderful customer service! I was lucky enough to be served by Dominic again and even though it's been a while, she knew my name and greeted me with a warm smile:)

The food here is always very good. The seating area is a bit small and only accommodates up to four people at a table. A large groups will have to split amongst multiple tables.I normally don't tip at restaurants like this because I figure they're getting paid to do their job, but I had to give if the young lady named Madison a tip on the way out. She was more attentive than many servers at full service restaurants I've been to.. She came by multiple times to check on how the food was and to pick up dishes as we were finished. Extremely helpful people here..

Really enjoyed our meal here. The bread is baked on premises and is so yummy. Sandwiches are served with a side salad. So nice to eat some real fresh food instead of fries and greasy burgers. Definitely coming here again!!

An update review since my wife and I live in Santa Maria. We come here quite often on Sunday afternoons with friends and family. My wife ALWAYS gets the Ahi Salad and I almost always get the Cobb with Tri-Tip added. Girls are usually very friendly and business like at the register and always offer a cookie add-on (we never get it though). Food is delivered quick enough and since they are salads (typically) they are fresh, seem poured out of a bag, and the Ahi is just right. Special comment: Their Japanese Spicy dressing is really what drags me in almost every time. A little sweet, a little spicy. I wish I could buy this in a quart jar! I agree with others - their proprietary sodas are too sweet, and they aren't cheap. The special lemonades are ok. We typically get just water because of that. Now that we aren't forced to wear masks ans sit on curbs to eat the place is much better for seating, but the interior is very small.

This is what Santa Maria needed! The food was amazing. I got 2 Banh mi and I think bbq sandwich recommend by the cashier and it was perfect. The staff was super polite. I enjoyed seeing them making their bread fresh in the store!
