Mainly came here for the hype around the place and I think it definitely does lean on the pricier side. We got the breakfast burrito and a sandwich which both tasted good but did not need to cost 20+ dollars. I liked the ambiance though - a lot of people sitting and chatting on a Tuesday afternoon and the outdoor seating is really cute. It felt very LA. Service was pretty good too, we waited around 15 minutes for our food to come. A good amount of street parking in the surrounding neighbourhoods!

I had the exact same experience as Ladan S. below. I ordered the Hen of the Woods plate, but there was no Hen of the Woods on the plate. Just some regular brown mushrooms. If you don't have the main ingredient of the dish, take it off the menu or give your patrons a heads up! It was literally just some sauteed kale with the stems still in it, a sad sunny side up egg, and a few brown mushrooms. They also didn't bring the sourdough toast that should come with it. And when I asked for it, they brought me a few dry and rock-hard slices of some random bread, but not sourdough. My two friends' dishes were just ok too. One was missing several ingredients including the mushrooms, and the other had a sandwich with stale bread. Disappointing, cause their menu has many awesome-sounding dishes on it! But you can't trust that you're actually getting the great thing you ordered.

I just ordered a $20 dish that was advertised as eggs with hen in the woods. For those who don't know what hen in the woods is, it's a specialty mushroom that is absolutely meaty and delicious!!! When I came home with my order, it ended up being a giant platter of sautéed kale with a little bit of brown mushrooms on the side, and a sad looking poached egg on top. I usually eat-in at this restaurant. Today was my first effort at "order online". I wouldn't do that again. Neither should you!

Don't come here if you're not white . You will not be treated equally . After trying to get help for 5 mins , asked a young lady in pink to check on my take out order and she never went to check , never got back to me at all . Decided to ask another young lady who was nice enough to check and sure enough , came back with my food right away . Food is good , but they need to treat all paying customers equally and not base it on skin color.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this place simply because the manager or the owner is a piss poor example of what a business owner should be. Especially in the hospitality & food industry, it's truly a disgrace. He's very disrespectful and I feel bad for the employees there, that have to work in an environment orchestrated by such an immoral individual. Everything else is good though, I must admit. I had enjoyed the food, drinks & service here thus far. I've had great experiences with several employees as well but today he ruined it all for me. Also, he told me "don't come back here" & "your business is no good here". And I'm black with dreadlocks so y'all know what that means! Lol, this is America though and I haven't forgotten. To anyone reading this, if you ever wondered why black people are known for becoming irate in public is because of reasons like this. People just think that it's okay to openly be disrespectful and intentionally fail to acknowledge or address our concerns as real. Instead, we're just frowned upon for even opening our mouth. I would have more good things to say about this place, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. And then the nerve to give me a drink, that was still not what I paid for afterwards is just pitiful. Respectfully, f*ck you and your latte!

Nice location with a large menu. A lot of outdoor seating and a nice ambiance - plants, umbrellas, wooden decor. Great coffee, and I especially loved the lavender honey latte (with oat milk). It was delicious, creamy, and had little pieces of lavender on top. Service was good, they do not take cash though.

Used to go here weekly when they first opened. Was a definite hotspot with good quality brunch. Last few visits, place looks tired. Staff worn out and rushed and most importantly, the food quality went down and doesn't taste the same.

Very pleased with my dining experience here, the food our server recommended was phenomenal. We didnt know where to start since their menu had so many options. their avacado toast and adult grilled cheese were my favorites, they have so much flavor and I love that this place has so many vegan friendly options. Their iced coffee is also my favorite coffee in the area that I started picking up my coffee from here in the mornings. Their cocktail options are also super unique. The staff is friendly and checks on you frequently to make sure you're content. Would 10/10'recmend
