I come here all of the time this was by far the WORST visit ever didn't have anything to do with the cook or waiter it was the quality of the food that was extremely poor will not be coming here ever again and the manager acted so careless to the fact about the quality of the food very careless offered to remake the food but I declined I was over everything and just overall ready to leave my sister said this was her first time here and she didn't like it and will never come back to this location again she said Torrance and Downey is way better

Left the restaurant after waiting a long time for a table, as two patrons, as pictured...one at least seemingly drunk or unstable touched me inappropriately and his taller buddy as pictured made rude and racist comments. Went to file a police report and police said it would be hard to get management to release video footage.

My daughter and I have been coming here every year for our birthdays for the past 14yrs so we pretty much know the usual routine. Our chef tonight was Asnez and he spiced it up for us! He was funny and kept our table engaged. He even had the table across from us watching our show the whole time. Lol. Our food was cooked to perfection and we had amazing service from our host Garrett. We will definitely be keeping our tradition of birthday celebrations here at Benihana

Was super excited to have Benihana since it's been since the early 2000s I've had it . The sauces have completely changed super bummer , a lot more salty than I would have preferred but the fried rice is amazing and sushi was pretty good but they did forget out spicy mayo.

They have the best Coconut Mojito in Santa Monica !! I also ordered the Lychee Martini which was delicious . I was at the bar attended by Destiny and Katherine would definitely be returning!

Came for dinner tonight with my family. Chef's and servers were very kind and kept my 2 kids entertained for over 2 hours. I knocked off a few stars because of the horrible smell in the waiting room. It's like there are rotting bodies under the rug. What's the deal Benihana?? Replace the carpet and deodorize!

We visit Benihana several times a year and this was by far the best experience we've had with our server! Joselyn was so attentive, especially with our two young children - brought us kids cups and plastic utensils ahead of time, extra napkins, extra straws - it's these little things that really help ease the parenting experience at a restaurant! On top of all of that, super friendly, personable, and very professional. Thank you to Joselyn for a memorable experience - will definitely request you next time! Of course the food was delicious, as always, but our chef, Fernando, also went above and beyond to make sure our kids had a great show! We let him know ahead of time that our 2 year old was looking forward to him throwing things in his hat LOL and so he did a few things with that and some new things I haven't seen before! Thank you, Fernando! Can't wait to go back to Benihana in Santa Monica!

Well you made it Santa Monica from where ever you came from. For some reason you can't choose from the 20 other high end over priced eateries around town, so you go with an old Favorite.. come on.. you know you have one by you.. around a mall or maybe its your high-end Asian food place by you. Well you made a good safe choose. I don't believe you can leave here unhappy and not stuffed. Your pockets might be a tad lighter than you expected and your doctor is not going to like your sodium levels next check up. But still.. all and all... go and try Benihanas in Santa Monica.. I recommend it at least once. If your a savy fu$k go for lunch... same amount of food and half off! But remember your in Santa Monica go try an Original spot or hit up Venice for some classier bums.. cheers and enjoy!Parking: Park in the parkingstructure across the street. They do not validate here but it's gonna be like $5.. mine was $2 and I was there maybe 2+ hours.

My GF wanted me to go here for a small celebration as I've never been and recently had a reason to celebrate an occasion. We arrived here on a Friday night after booking reservations for 9pm and were seated after around 15 minutes. To kick things off the restaurant itself is a bit sad looking inside, it's dark and looks like an old tavern from the 90s. The seats, tables and plates all had a film of grease on them from the last seating and the carpet was stickier than a movie theater. Our service was great however, the server we had was quick and courteous, while filling our drinks and cleaning our plates regularly. Our chef was also awesome and very friendly. He had some great performance skills and you could tell he enjoyed his job. The food however was a bit lackluster for $180 (for the both of us). I expected more flavor and my lobster and jumbo shrimp definitely tasted frozen. I appreciated the novelty of the experience however and still had a great time overall. Some tips include parking across the street at the structure. It should be about $3-5 for the amount of time you'll spend for dinner. Also they have a $30 off promo, if its your birthday month, so take advantage of that!

Parking: There’s a parking garage across the street where it was $4 to park. I’m not sure what the parking rate was but we were there for almost 3 hours.
