Place looked so nice. Workers were super friendly. Everything was clean and nice. Service was amazing. The food looked so delicious in the pictures. The presentation of the food was so good but the taste was horrible. Everything tasted so bad. The only things that were good were the salad and the fries.

Ribeye is fantastic. Drink menu is phenomenal. Espresso martini is a must. Highly recommend.

Food was average, we did enjoy the creativity and flavors of the relish plate and mussels. Matzo ball soup was flavorful but not mind blowing. Steak & fries seriously underwhelmed us, portion size was tiny. Our cocktails, however, were delicious and spirit-forward just like we were hoping for.Service, however, was a MAJOR disappointment. We came for our 7pm reservation and saw the server only when he took our order and to deliver some of the dishes. It took 2 hours before our main course was delivered to us. Each time the server delivered our dish he apologized profusely for how long it was taking and stated he was embarrassed at the pace our dishes were coming out. The meal started off strong with our cocktails and two starters, but by the end, we were so disappointed by the service we decided to skip dessert and just go home.Bummed because we really wanted to come back to try the pickle chick and other dishes/cocktails, but hard to justify coming back.

Came here with a large group and ordered off the family style prix fixe menu and everything was delicious - I'll be thinking about that kugel and the beet salad for a LONG time.

My wife and I dined here last night and the food was creative, exciting and most of all delicious. Our favorites were the matzo ball soup, tinned salt spring mussels, the small relish tray with 5-onion dip and the rose petal pie. Shout out to the staff, especially Oscar, who helped walk us through the menu and was happy to chat with us at the close of service. The energy in the restaurant was vibrant and joyous. I loved the music.

The Matso ball soup is worth the trip ? The Caesar Fries were fried perfectly but a tad salty. The Empress Bundt cake was baked beautifully. The fresh whipped cream is perfect with the cake. I like the caramel but I found it overpoweringly sweet. More of a balance would have been nice. The restaurant decor is interior designer worthy and the location in Santa Monica is hard to beat!

This is our favorite fine dining restaurant in the westside by far. Just wish they would fill up our lemonade to the top of the glass just because my wife is European and orders it without ice. We order a lot of things here and go way too many times to be stingy with a few drops of lemonade. Come on guys, what kind of tone are you setting with this weird policy? Photo of the ‘full lemonade,’ size varies on their whim.

The G in Birdie G’s stands for garlic. If you’re allergic or if you don’t like it’s lingering tang on your breath, then this is not your place. The $20 red wine was swill, not even on par with “2 Buck Chuck” at TJ’s. Noise level of “ West Beirut before the cease fire” Expensive!!!! $200 for lamb, persimmon +cheese, 1 glass of red, and 2 bottles of bottled water, but free parking in the Bergamot Station lot.

An "after Christmas" family dinner. A unique dining experience.... we tried all of their signature dishes. Seated outside. It was a bit cool despite the heaters - so they provided blankets to add to the comfort.

To begin with, the hostess tried to seat my friend and I at the worst table possible despite the fact that we had a reservation and the place was mostly empty. Next, the waitress asked us if we had ever been there before and upon learning that it was our first time, proceeded to give us a lesson on how to order food at a restaurant. As for the food itself, it was just OK and some of it was downright gross. We had a soggy, tepid, cabbage dish that had the consistency of wet diapers.

I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could! Really yummy and unique meal. The cucumber snack was delish, and the matzo dumplings were incredible. We also got the kugel which was super tasty but was basically mac n cheese, I was hoping for some egg noodles given the name. The pickled chicken was also really good, absolutely loved the crunch and the sauce. We shared the rose petal pie for dessert and I was super underwhelmed - the only thing I wouldn't recommend. Ambiance was adorable and the staff were lovely!

Oooof. I wanted to love this place. It was my last night in LA after a 6 week long food journey and I expected to go out with a bang. The main issue I had was the service, and not necessarily because people weren’t doing their job or unfriendly, but mainly because the place seemed incredibly understaffed. There were 2 servers for the entire dining room. That is not enough to give people a hospitable and thoughtful dining experience. We started at the bar and ordered 2 happy hour items and 2 glasses of NA wine. We waited for 10 minutes for the bartender to wander around and finally bring our wine. The first food item came out within 15 minutes, then I had to ask for water (which I assume should be a given if someone orders food). Then as the time was getting closer to our reservation in the dining room we asked about our second happy hour item and the female bartender rudely responded and acted oblivious. The male bartender then followed us to our table and apologized that the item hadn’t gotten sent through..Later we were greeted kindly by a female server. She got our drink order including a bottle of sparkling water. My NA cocktail came out in a reasonable time. My friends glass of wine took 15 minutes to come out. In the meantime a different server frantically came by to take our food order. We followed up by asking again for our bottle of San Pellegrino. The first course came out promptly but the timing between the first and second course was way too long. It was clear to me (being in hospitality myself) that the 2 servers were “in the weeds” and not giving up to par service to any guests. After we skipped dessert and asked for the check we were there over 30 more minutes waiting to pay and leave. Completely unacceptable.I understand that restaurants have some hard nights and things can’t always be perfect, but this would’ve been the perfect time to accept accountability and apologize for how forgetful and untimely this entire dinner was. There were many opportunities for the servers/ manager team to have some awareness behind this experience not being up to par, and the opportunities were not taken. I would have voiced my opinion during my meal if it seemed like anyone had the time to listen or even cared. The NA beverage options were incredible; and the support staff, including the lovely hostess, were highlights of my meal.Otherwise I am very sad that I convinced my friends to come and share my farewell dinner at this restaurant.****update**** the GM reached out to me directly and showed me great care to redeem this situation. I’m so grateful for the hospitality that was extended after the fact. It shows how much the staff really does care, and that the night I dined here was just an off night that surely doesn’t happen often. Thank you <3
