On the website it said the two ham arepas were $9 but in total it was $14.33? Not saying the food isn't good but the tax is wild. Service was chill.

FOOD/DRINK: They make such a great cortado coffee, would definitely get it again. Also had two vegetarian arepas - black bean and cheese, and mushroom chorizo. The latter was my favorite, but both were delicious! These came out on the quicker side (maybe 5 minutes?), though I know can take up to 20 to make from the other reviews. Tasted flavorful and fresh, and were a great portion size for breakfast or a mid-day snack. They have a decent-sized breakfast and lunch menu (along with some pastries), plenty of vegetarian options, and fruit juices that looked really refreshing. AMBIENCE: I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). That's my one qualm, is that it'd be hard to spend more than 2 hours here due to the parking situation. SERVICE: So friendly and kind.

Cute Venezuelan cafe with drinks, sandwiches, and arepas. Came here with a friend on a weekday for lunch and ordered some arepas to split. Each order comes with two arepas. We tried the chicken, the stewed beef, stewed pork, and mushroom. All of them were tasty and came freshly made (it takes about 20 minutes for the cook time). I also had a matcha latte with honey which was very tasty and nicely sweetened. The service was friendly and efficient. You order/pay first before taking a seat. Dine-in and takeout are available. Credit cards accepted. Metered street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

The chorizo/mozerella arepas were super tasty and I have been thinking of them ever since. My kiddo liked them too. We also tried the Mexican torta which was not that tasty. The chicken on it didn't taste great. I also had their chai which was really yummy and we enjoyed that very much. There are places to sit inside the cafe-either a big table, along the window counter or tables for two. It was a very busy Saturday morning but we didn't have to wait in line too long. We did wait awhile for the food so kits know their arepas take a little while to make but they are fresh and delicious-worth the wait. You can tell they have their locals that come here often so that means people like coming here. The place inside is bright and modern looking. I would I definitely come back again if I was in the area. The family running the place is hard working and bringing high quality food and drinks to the neighborhood.

I'm almost scared to even review about how great this place is because of it turning into a non local spot, because that is what it is. I have studied here and ordered amazing arepas and food. Love the staff here as well. It's a small place but great food!

This coffee shop is one of those spots that almost feels like you're in a different city. The owners are nice and friendly and service was good. I tried the matcha latte and almond croissant. The croissant looked better than it tasted, but the matcha was good. Didn't try the arepas, but maybe another time. Cute spot if you'd like to hang out for a couple hours and catch up with a friend. Note that it can get a little loud inside since they're constantly running the smoothie machine..

Review only for the coffee... Lovely little family run shop. The coffee was okay on this day. They have paper tops on their coffee, which is great to see.

Lovely spot for arepas, coffee, and tropical juices. It's a nice bit of nostalgia for anyone who's been to Colombia.

We wanted a cute cafe where we could get some work done away from home. What drew us to Bolivar were the arepas, and just as other reviewers have pointed out, they’re a must-try! We tried four different flavors, each one sensational. They were warm and crispy as well. The passionfruit juice and green tea were the perfect accompaniments to the arepas.
