As a Mexican, I can vouch for the authenticity of the food served at this place. The salsa was spot-on, bringing back memories of home. The service was both friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between aesthetic and cozy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. I would definitely return for more delicious Mexican food. Highly recommended!

Came in for happy hour, apparently missed it by 1 minute. Asked about the happy hour prices when I got my receipt, advised they put the order in before happy hour … checked time stamp, literally 1 minute too early. Chips were very clearly not made in house or dressed up in any way… salsa was very watery. Ordered a margarita with mango and added jalapeño, thought it was a house margarita ($10 happy hour price) but was charged for one of their speciality margaritas, Pacos Mango $17. Ordered the Tex Mex cheese dip $17, could literally taste the Velveeta and a very small portion. Next up is the shrimp ceviche, small portion for $22 and the liquid the shrimp and veggies were sitting in was a gray color. I don’t eat sea food but my son who ordered it said it didn’t taste bad but it definitely wasn’t good. Left most of it on the plate. Lastly was chicken wings $18 (I know, chicken wings at a Mexican restaurant but I was looking for something on the happy hour menu my 7 year old would eat) … large wings that tasted ok.. were definitely reheated, not freshly fried. All of this wouldn’t have been that bad I guess, you take a gamble when you eat somewhere new in a town you aren’t from. But the happy hour thing just pissed me off. $81 for literal trash food…. Kids left hungry, going to In N Out as I type this.

We weren't very hungry so ordered tacos from the happy hour menu which was great value for money. Chicken tacos were a little disappointing but fish ones were delicious. Portion of guacamole and churros for dessert were also very much enjoyed. Service very attentive. Extensive menu. Would definitely go back to try more food and get a drink from their extensive Margherita menu.

Food is good. Service is ok. I’ve come here a lot before but now I won’t be coming back. $95 dollars for 2 simple plates. Asada and enchiladas. Crazy. And added an automatic gratuity fee of 20%. I won’t be coming back.

I'm so glad we found this place. The staff was awesome and the burritos were incredible (and huge!) Great margaritas too. I'm definitely eating here every time I visit Santa Monica from now on.

We have been trying to come check this place out for a long time. But after 2 bad experiences it isn’t worth it. First time we came late night but were turned away because they were closely early. 1 hour before scheduled time.Second time we came early morning.Service was just ok. Other parties received their drinks and chips before us.Food was very bland, lacked spices and flavor. Salsa was not spicy at all. Out of everything we got from the menu the michelada had the most flavor. The mojito tasted very strange, watered down perhaps. So did the Paloma.By the way I have never needed to read fine prints at a restaurant. The tip or Gratuity is 18%!!!! For a party of 2.

We were four people, only two of us had dinner, the others just drinks, a very soft and tasteless Margarita and a lemonade. The food was correct, but that was all; one burrito, one ceviche and two micheladas. The check added up to 110$: every michelada 22$ (12 for the "vaso michelado" !! and 10 more for the corona beer, something that is not explained in the menu) the most we have ever paid. Moreover, the 18% of gratuity was automatically added (you only see that for big grups of people). Definetely, the attention and service we had didn't worth that amount at all.You pay a lot of money just because it's Santa Monica, but the quality that you get for the money you pay, is very low.
