From previous experiences I had higher expectations. Service was awful. Saw our server one time. Food came out cold. Fries had been sitting. Nobody checked on us. Nobody asked about food until we were done. Reconsider coming here if you want a good meal with good service.

A great place to grab a quick drink and enjoy the view. The staff is always nice here too.

This was by far one of the worst food experiences I've had in Santa Monica. I'll give them two stars because the waiters were friendly, but goodness! The salmon tartare was so beyond fishy and almost rotten tasting. We also ordered the steak tartare and while it wasn't completely inedible, the presentation was awful. It looked so unappetizing...there just has to be a better way. We ended up sending both dishes back and they did take it off of our bill. Felt nauseous afterwards. Not worth the price or wait.

The food was very expensive and mediocre at best. The cesar salad was very sour, the "fresh" juices were from a pre made bottled brand. Service was not too frienfdly The bigger issue was the stuffiness and the bathroom smell that engulfes you when you walk in. They need to improve their ventilation! It was gross. Overall very dusappointing

Otherwise very nice beachfront spot ruined by loud busker playing on the bicycle path. For some reason guests went over and gave him money. I was going to give him $20 not to play for 10 minutes but my friends thought that would be mean.

Singer Lionel Jean-Baptiste was an exceptional addition to Coast’s ambiance! Opt for an outside table to enjoy his music to the fullest. Our server, Alex, was truly wonderful and made our experience 10x better.

Service is very slow and the staff not welcoming. Not once we received a smile. The food was very not good, ingredients are not organic, I could easily do better at home. I really regret my experience there and I will never go again nor recommend this place to anyone. This is very pricy 10 dollars for a cappuccino that is really average… the only positive thing was the patio that looks a beautiful place. Do not waste your time and money there. There are plenty other places across the street with much better food and service

The 3-6 PM happy hour is where it's at! Glasses of wine and beer are half off plus $12 select cocktails and some heavily discounted bites. There are a few tvs and great ocean views from the bar. We wanted somewhere to watch the superbowl without crazy crowds and this checked off all of the boxes. The eats were all stellar. Burrata ( $12 on happy hour) was so delicious and came with salami and honey cooked pears. We also enjoyed the calamari, margherita pizza and chips with pico and guac. All bites under $12 - a steal! Service was on point and the bartenders were all so friendly and made good drinks. The Shutters hotel is swanky and in a great location. Whether you are a guest at the hotel or just looking for a great happy hour this is a solid spot. 11/10 recommend.

Had a fantastic dinner at coast. The prices are definitely on the high end but details and serving staff is top notch. I loved these cloth coasters too! Get the dessert. Great options so we chose a few to share with our group and delicious!!! Also they made a perfect dirty vodka martini. It was very quiet and chill which I don't think we expected, but it was an oddly rain Cali day so I think less people were out and about.

Located in Shutters, the food ranged from mediocre to good. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Wednesday night. The seafood in the seafood pasta didn't taste the freshest. The carrot cake (local partner) is very good. Our server Jessie really rounded out the experience - he came by often but not over often. He made great recommendations and was genuinely friendly.
