This place is great, especially with the back open with outdoor seating. You can get pitchers of beers or margs, sit outside, and enjoy some sports on TV. The pizza is awesome, and I highly recommend it. The staff is super nice and quick. We take our kids and hang out on the back.

I've been coming here almost weekly with my hubs for the past few months. We eat. We drink. We enjoy Surfer Rose. The pizza is pretty phenomenal. We usually get the Margherita. I like to add my own Tapatio to-go packet, but it's really unnecessary since the flavor is fresh and outstanding. We keep coming back for the drinks (mezcal mule for me; beers for him) and for the outstanding service. Great vibes and chill atmosphere is what's needed during this pandemic. We'll be back soon; hope to see you there.

Great Pizza!!! Tots were perfect. We had the Meatsa and the Margerita pizzas and both were great but the white was the best. Service was awesome.

I was walking by and noticed this cool little bar. They have a chill staff, good wings and an amazing mural of Bourdain of the side. I believe they'll have DJ's when things return to normal. A nice contrast to the surrounding bars. Look forward to coming back.

Mediocre pizza at gourmet prices. Probably won't be returning to this place. The mozzarella sticks and cauliflower tasted stale. Mushroom pizza was nothing like the description and the picture. Just super disappointed. At least it was warm.
They have been a great to go restaurant. Great food and good company while waiting. During this pandemic they are clean and follow guidelines. Fun while you wait don't hesitate!!! Love it!

This was my first order from Surfer Rose and it's probably the best pizza I've enjoyed since "back in the day" Westside places like Mario's and La Barberas. The pizza I ordered for curbside pickup was the classic pepperoni and everyone in the family had great things to say about the ingredients, recipe and even the quality of the pepperoni. I also saw lots of options on the menu including some that the vegetarian in the family could check out. Surfer Rose is actually a new sit down restaurant that opened in February but they are only doing delivery and takeout during the stay at home mandate. Justin was the guy who took our phone order and he was really patient when it came to helping us with the different options. Santa Monica is actually starting to have some great pizza takeout options. I'll look forward to the day we can have dinner inside the restaurant.

We got delivery and it was a bit cold but delivery is through them so can't fault that. Crust was perfect thin, slightly crunchy Italian perfect. Haven't had someone bail that before in California. Red sauce was good with just a touch of spice. We'll for sure try it again and if it holds true this is our new go-to pizza spot.

Yes finally! An NYC transplant has finally found the right fit. It's in the crust! Everything is good....tried the pepperoni, meatball and just cheese. You won't be disappointed. The brussels and the cauliflower sides also so good.

We're pizza snobs and had no acceptable NY-style option since Slicetruck sadly went away. Tried everything in town and struggled until Surfer Rose came along. The pizza is excellent and we are now regulars. If you haven't tried it give them a call, very easy to-go options. We typically go for the pepperoni (add garlic!), but the BBQ chicken pizza was also excellent.
