The food was amazing and I loved every bite that I took. The owner was very sweet and caring. The people that work there are very nice. I will be going back to that place. I had the gyro sandwich with fries and I was not disappointed.

All of these people who wrote that this place is good genuinely ruined my entire day. I took one bite of the "gyro" sandwich and had at least 30 years taken off of my life (not that I'm complaining, I can't wait for my life to end after eating this). It tasted like someone chewed it and spit it out before I ate it. It was one single pita bread cut open with kids' scissors, filled with burnt "gyro meat" that tasted like smoke, two pieces of old lettuce, and one annoyingly large yellow tomato slice. The "tzatziki" sauce was brown and had the consistency of water. The only way I could bear eating this was telling myself that this was my karma and drowning out the horrid, pungent flavor with hot sauce. We also ordered a spread which turned out to be store-bought, and they charged us even more for two pieces of burnt "pita" bread to go with it. The only good thing about this trap-house looking shack was the bottled water. Please let the photo speak for itself. This place has won, I'm checking myself into the hospital.

Kudos to Hungry Pocket for their tasty eats! We really enjoyed their food at our networking banquet. Their support means a lot to us students. The variety and flavor in their dishes always hit the spot. Much appreciated!

I love this place, have been coming here from before the pandemic to now as I am returning to Smc. And I will continue to support this establishment. Its small but hearty. The food is great and the customer service is welcoming and friendly.Parking: If youre a student at Smc, you can just walk it there. I do, I just park in the parking lot 3 of Smc. If you dont attend, then parking will be difficult as the lot is small and fills up quickly.Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a ramp to go inside, but the restaurants dining area is a bit cramped.

Love this little off the beaten path gyro. Lots of succulent meat and I use the tahini. Also love their tabbouleh

The absolute BEST gyro in Los Angeles. Truly. They can't be beat. Their prices are fair. And you always leave happy. The spot itself is easy to access, quint, with hard working staff. Get the gyro. So yummy (and healthy)

Best Euro Sandwich in Santa Monica - make sure to ask for the hot sauce.

I first tried The Hungry Pocket in 1989; I returned yesterday and, although there have been a few changes, they've stuck to the basic principles - good food and service. Atmosphere is a little bit Greyhound station - but Sylvia's tremendous service makes up the balance! Best flavor and value for this cuisine IN THIS HEMISPHERE. Added bonus: WHOLE WHEAT PITA AVAILABLE - sonething I haven't found ANYWHERE pita is served...

I got a Kafta Beef Sandwich. It was the most amazing meal I've had when eating out in a WHILE. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the meat is cooked on a skewer and the aroma is incredible. This place is just absolutely amazing. They also have vegetarian options. 10/10, I think I've found my new favorite spot.
