The front patio was crowded and very loud, so of course we then had to shout to be heard ourselves. Other than that the food was really good, a couple had the branzino which was excellent, the lobster ravioli was also very good and I had the burger which was one of the best I have had. I did not need all the fries though, there were more than enough for 3 people!

Been one of my favorite resturants for years. Beautiful, great service with stunning food!! Birthday lunch was a huge sparkler presented with the best coconut cake in the world. Love it and highly recommend.

Everything was so cute, and I had a really great experience with an atmosphere that I don't see in Japan. The crab cakes were home-made, the wine was delicious, the ravioli was delicious, and I was surprised by the size of the coffee at the end. I spent nearly $500 on my first day in America. But I definitely want you to experience this American atmosphere. All the waiters are veterans.

Ivy by the Shore is always an absolute delight. The service is classically fine but friendly. Food is excellent, people watching and beach view are wonderful. We go there every time we visit Santa Monica and have never been disappointed. Thanks for being such a great part of our trip to Santa Monica!

Stopped for lunch. Excellent service and excellent food/menu. We had a great view on the patio and the servers worked together throughout the meal.Fish and Chips had some amazingly tender shrimp and scallops with a delicate batter. Fish tacos and steak also got high marks. The coconut cake and gelato were also hits.... great coffee and cocktails.Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options.

We went here last week and at first we thought it was a nice restaurant. We ordered some burgers and salad with some drinks. They were not that good. And then halfway through our meal, I saw the staff members harassing some tourists who were just taking photos outside. They called them names and even threatened them. It made me scared to order again or even comment about my food thinking they might threaten me too. We will never come back here again!
I have been eating at this restaurant since it opened years ago and love it. The food was really not up to their typical standard this time around. My wife and I were definitely not feeling 100 percent after we ate our meal. Think I am going to take a break from eating here in the future.

Food has gone downhill here over the years. The tuna, tartare appetizer is a joke. A blob of old looking tuna with scattered potato chips surrounding it. The lobster with pasta had almost no lobster in it. I always get a swordfish tacos which are still a solid choice, but there really is no value for the money here. Love the ambience, if you like to people see then come for that. Sit at the bar and get a drink. Enjoy yourself.

The crab cakes are one of their specialties and the fresh catch brinzino with shrimp masterfully prepared and served. Check them out for special offasions or to score ultimate romantic points for date nite!

Our server (which I failed to ask for his name) was efficient, attentive, friendly and energetic. The assistant servers were also very attentive. They were on top everything from refilling our water, bringing our food, etc. We had mushroom and cheese omelette, crab cakes and corn chowder. All were tasty. Thank you for the best dining experience and for acknowledging my friend's birthday! Will be back again.
