Does anyone know when they will be reopening? The answering machine says February but then I read somewhere June 1st. I'm waiting for my deli fix.

Izzy's has not been open for a long time. There's no sign on the door (as of Saturday, May 15, 2021), nor any indication on their website when they might be re-opening for business -- either outside on 15th Street, as they were doing for a while, or inside. I've checked several times in recent weeks, and it's dark inside.

Hi everyone. Fellow Izzy goer here. Would just love to know when they're going to reopen. Can someone let us all know? I think you have lots of fans itching to get back to your great food. Let us know the plan.

This is my go to deli in Santa Monica. It's closed right now for some renovations, but I'm excited about it opening back up soon. When I come to Izzy's I feel like I'm transported to my favorite deli in NY. The pastrami sandwich is delicious, and they also surprisingly have a fantastic breakfast burrito. I've also tried pastrami and eggs which I've liked too. All the servers are super nice and attentive. Only reason for 4 for stars is I do find it to be a bit pricy for a deli.

Izzy's Deli has always been a favorite of our family. The turkey gumbo is a must try. It's all good at Izzy's.

Excellent matzoh ball soup and corned beef! Staff is friendly, old school deli atmosphere and a huge variety of dishes and specials that are always good. If you are looking for a great Jewish deli on the west side/ Santa Monica area you’ve found it.

For me it wasn't spicy enough. But it was the first time I actually liked pickles in any sandwich!! The chicken was pretty big too!

Best corned beef Reuben ever, and one of the most iconic delis in LA!

This was a simple but wonderful sandwich. The bread was good, the meat great and the cheese complimented it all perfectly. Plus, the gentleman making the sandwiches was so proud of his work an me the history of the shop. So cool! My first thought after eating here was "I want to cater their sandwiches" haha. Win for sure! We'll be back.

Extremely dry brisket on rye, very average pastrami and roast beef. And rude staff. Rather go to Fromin's up the road. Better quality and service
