The only downside of this place is the bagels themselves.Everything else is excellent, the quality of all the ingredients, the cookies, the coffee too.But these bagels are just not bagels. They are crusty rolls at best. A crackly hard crust and fluffy interior. Not the dense and chewy heaven you hope for.

Bagels were overpriced and way too tough. Even difficult to tear with my hands. Better to buy 6 at the grocery store - will be better quality and less expensive.

Very good, filling bagels. On the denser side but still delicious, however, toppings can fall off when you bite into them since they are stacked on. Line is long on the weekends but does not take too long.

The pre-jam bagel at Layla's is the best thing since sliced bread. Get it on a plain bagel so that the bagel doesn't distract from the taste of the incredible seasonal blood orange and cara cara. Pro tip, grab a wet wipe from the side counter by the napkins dispenser so that you can cleanly devour your honey drizzled, succulent sun-soaked bagel of delight and mumble in joy as nectar-like citrus juices drizzle down the bagel into your waiting mouth. In order of favorites: The pre-jam on plain The marli add bacon or salmon, add tomato on sesame The laika on everything The scarlett on sesame And then, sammy's which is a solid egg n bacon sandwich but not on my list of favorites maybe because we got it on an everything bagel- recommended on a plain. Last thing, but most importantly, the rose petal matcha latte is the best drink in west Los Angeles hands down and I'm still dreaming about it now. *chef's kiss*

If a michelin star chef were to craft a bagel, I think it would be the Laika! I crave it almost every Saturday morning. I have lived in NYC for the best 4 years, and I can honestly say that Layla has the best bagel sandwiches I have ever tried. The chef sources local fresh ingredients from the local farmer's market. My one complaint is that there's always a line out the door and there's very limited seating. I wish they had a larger retail space with indoor seating.

We came around 1pm on a sunday and only waited for about 15 mins. The line was about half way down the block but moved relatively quickly. Parking was also surprisingly easy, lots of street parking available. We got the Laika (smoked salmon), the Samson (tuna salad) and the Scarlett (tomato with chili flakers). Our favorite was the Scarlett. The Laika was also really good, it wasn't too salty at all. The Samson was very meh, I definitely dont recommend getting that. I will say though, they cut the bagel pretty thick and add a bunch of stuff on top, we accidentally dropped a lot of the toppings. So just be careful when you are biting into it!

Such amazing bagels and fantastic fast service. My bf forgot to order vegan cream cheese for me and they replaced my bagel immediately with a smile and no extra charge. So rare and so well appreciated.

All very good. Pre jam on sesame bagel was my favorite! Line was long but moved quickly.

Where do I even begin with Layla Bagels... this might be my favorite place ever. This is genuinely one of the first times I've ever been a regular somewhere. My weekly treat is these magnificent bagels. I am a half prejam half Scarlett lover till the day I die. These bagels are to die for, and I recommend everyone get them! The people who run Laylas are so genuine and sweet! I also love the neighborhood it is in, there is always parking and it is very safe. So, you can take your time and enjoy your bagel outside! It is also the perfect place to see cute dogs! 10/10 recommend

I've been here 2x and I have to say they have good bagels!! Tbh not the best I have had but they are definitely good. I have had the Marli, the egg sandwich, the Scarlett and the chocolate with strawberries bagel. So both times I've come here right at opening 7am so thankfully there wasn't a huge crazy line only a few. Ordering is quick and I love that they have the option to order a half of a bagel so if you are with some friends or just want to order half half of something you can. This is great so you have the option to try different flavors. The Marli by far is my favorite, the avocado, pickled onion, chili flakes, and sprouts are just perfect. It's a great balance and you can just taste everything it's really good! They interior is really nice and they have seating indoors and out but the indoors is limited. The bagels are served in to go containers. -1 star for not having more options for cream cheese flavors, I would love if they had a scallion flavored cream cheese, they have herb but it's not my fav. All in all a good spot and I would recommend and can't wait to come back.

So fresh and yummy! We planned to stop by a couple weeks ago on a Sunday around 12 but the line was so long we didn't have time to wait. We made it there this week and came in around 9:30 on a Thursday and there was no wait! I had the lily without tomato and a vanilla latte with oat milk and my boyfriend had the b.a.t. We both loved our bagels! My coffee was good but I would have liked it to come out a bit hotter. I love that you can get a half bagel because a full can be too much. Definitely recommend checking this place out come early or during the week to avoid super long lines!
