Great ambience and accommodating for families. The fish tacos and ahi burger were delicious. Kombucha beer was different and tasty.

Had lunch there today. The food was good, but I was charged $34 for a skimpy ounce of Dalmore 15 year. A bottle retails for about $95. Beware!

Great lunch. Enjoyed the generous portion Fish and Chips. Kiddo loved the cheeseburger sliders. Waitress was super nice and efficient.

Library is by far one of my favorite places on Main Street. I recently saw V. B's review on yelp and I was so confused. As someone who has dealt with VB personally at my business, I award the patience of this establishment for continuing to let her in over and over again. She is 86'd at my bar and every other bar on the street. I love this place!

Some really nice beer selections, to be sure. Not a vast menu, but some fine, well-curated taps on draft. So maybe I'm underselling this place, but the food was simply godawful. I don't mean that it was average for this quality-food-desert strip of Santa Monica, I mean that it stank. Even the cauliflower was a greasebomb, breaded and fried, tasteless except for some sweetness. Barbecue sauce on mediocre fries was the pits, and I don't mean pit barbecue - I mean, it was basically ketchup with more sugar added into it. The place was very loud too, making it hard for conversation. If you come for beer only, the place is more than credible, but their food is rank.

Came here while waiting for lunch to open--this was SUCH a cute place! Our server/bartender was so friendly and had great service, and we were served very quickly. We didn't eat food, but it seemed that it came out pretty quickly for the other guests who ordered, and the food looked good. She had the Common Space, and I had a Veuve. So good and I would definitely come back!!

Great place for a big group with long table seating in the back patio. The food was great and reasonable prices and friendly staff. Location is also great with nearby shops and bars.

Came here for my birthday and even though it was already packed on the same night as the packers-9ers game, staff here hooked me up with 2 tables when I showed up last minute. They were also able to successfully make sure everyone was able to pay their bills separately and were a party over 20 people Beer here is phenomenal as well , and food is pretty great too. I definitely wanna come back here whether it's to get lit or just casually hang with someone

The ambiance was fun. The beers were good. Service was ok. The happy hour food was pretty bad. We keep talking about what a disappointment the food was. Tasted like heated up frozen food. Sad.

I have not been for several years and I went on Valentine's Day. They really upped their game on draft beers. They were offering a special Russian River brew selection which was great. The fries were also good. Loved it!

Rude staff. Pressuring you to buy drinks constantly. Very abrasive and unfriendly. Best dish on the menu is gone. Pass.Parking: Hard to find, so much has been removed for outdoor dining.

I think when I read about this place and that it was a "library" ale house I thought it meant it would have a massive selection of beer.Essentially they have stapled various books to the wall (hence the term - library). I thought this concept was nifty but the beer selection wasn't as large as I would have expected. The beer selection itself is not super special.I think having more local beers would have also been cool, and maybe 2-3 per category. The food was okay but a bit overpriced. It was fun to try one time but I don't think I would be back.(I updated this slightly and lost the response from the business because of this). To library ale house... when I think large selection of beers I would assume 30-40. I guess having that all on tap would be impossible so would have to also consist of bottled beers. This was not a terrible place. I mean I am sure local patrons love it. I just thought that for the price of the beer and food selection (I am vegetarian so maybe that's harder to accommodate on the menu), it was a 3 to 4 stars.
