I've wanted to dine here for a while and I finally made it back in June. The intimate dining room has only 5 tables, and a close up view of the kitchen. One of my favorite dishes was the Caviar Deviled Egg, it even had heart shaped waffles on the side! I also enjoyed their pine milk bread and blossom butter that was served with a mushroom broth. There were three main savory dishes. The Red Bream & Scallop "Farci", was my least favorite dish of the menu, it was cooked perfectly, and the sauce looked good, but somehow it all tasted completely flavorless, which was really disappointing. The A5 Wagyu with a ramp stuffed Morel mushroom was amazing, but the main highlight of the meal for me was the Liberty Farm's Duck "Rouennaise". It was delicious and the presentation was really unique. One of the desserts was a cherry sorbet with "dip n dots" which was one of the most flavorful sorbets that i've ever had, and a perfect way to end the meal. This was such a fun and unique experience but it was probably the most expensive 2 star i’ve been to and I don’t think it lived up to the price tag compared to other restaurants i’ve dined at with the same Michelin rating.

Melisse exceeded expectations and was more than deserving of its 2 Michelin stars. The service was excellent, thoughtful, and exceptionally gracious. There was a clear passion by the waitstaff and the intimacy of the experience was exceptional. I was very impressed by our server, Vayou, who had an encyclopedic knowledge of the wine being served. The food was also exceptional, with many dishes being so good you wanted more. If anything, that was my only real wish. But isn't that always the case with fine dining? I honestly think Melisse would have its third star if it had a better space to work from. It's not to say the small, wonderfully intimate dining room is deficient in any way. But it lacks the beauty and ambiance of The French Laundry (even if does meet or exceed its culinary quality). I highly recommend Melisse to anyone who appreciates fine dining and experiencing Michelin-rated restaurants. If you know what to expect and appreciate such things, you will love it.

Celebrated my 50tyh birthday and it was amazing. Exactly what anyone would expect at a Michelin restaurant. The food was outstanding. The service was great. The ambiance was warm and special. They only sit a max of 14 and it was very private.

Nelisse definitely deserve their Michelin 2 stars restaurant status. the service is absolutely wonderful and the staff had help set the atmosphere to a really relaxing and comfortable feel that one won't get too nervous over it. and the food is just excellent, needless to say. even thou I missed the previous seasonal menu, but the new winter menu is just as scrumptious as expected. I look forward to trying their duck when the next opportunity arises.

Exquisite restaurant. Small, thoughtful. Fun features are the solid silver duck press for the jus and the turntable playing classics like Stevie Wonder.

...wow...so many amazing dishes served with care and amazing flavors! The wine pairing was expensive, but worth it. Same for the truffle addition. We loved the intimate environment and kind staff. The "hidden door", was fun! The whole thing was worth going at least once!Kid-friendliness: They don't say it beforehand, but they discourage children. It is a small room with few tables. We brought our 10-year-old and paid for her seat. She loved it! But she's an unusually food-exposed and well-behaved 10-year-old. But there was an email the day before our attendance asking not to bring kids. It was too late to cancel, and we went with success, but they do discourage it.

The chef's dining room is upscale, but cozy with only 5 tables, all located across from the open air kitchen. The chefs and servers partner in serving you each course, telling you about the ingredients for each dish... like little stories. Such a special experience! The food was fresh, precisely made, and each had blends of interesting components. The plate before dessert, they had a performance using an 18th century press for the duck sauce on top of in-house 21 day dry-aged duck.I strongly recommend their mocktail pairing menu, they are creative in a way that doesn't compare

Excellent food, excellent service. Would certainly recommend.

The food all tasted the same since they use a lot of the same ingredients to season the food. The best dish was the dessert which wasn’t anything special either. Absolutely not worth the $400 per person. Also they advertise tip is included but the servers lie to you saying they only get 5% of it for medical benefits and you NEED to tip them since it’s NOT included. I thought I had misread the tipping policy and was furious when checking the website at night clearly stating it WAS included in the cost.I called several times to get a refund and was lied to again saying they will refund me. Had to go through my credit card company and was fortunate enough to have backup evidence from their own website. The audacity to advertise as everything being included but they hit you with a receipt that asks how much you’ll be tipping. If the servers were honest and explained it’s just another option, I would have been fine and probably would have added more. AVOID!

Am just at a loss for words. Not at all the experience I was led to believe I would have. Once again, a “renown” dining location in La fails to live up to even the most meager expectations set. Fine food experience just seem to fall flat these days, living off of former days instead of earning the patron’s trust. Just a failure of a dinner all around
