If you are going on your lunch break ORDER AHEAD online and you will be fine. If you are going to lunch sitting down during peak time, you will be serviced nicely. If you are just walking in, expect to wait a bit. They have quite the system going on here. They have people prepping the food and making sure its fresh, people taking orders, people packing up to-go orders, people servicing the tables. You will never feel like a certain group is getting prioritized more than you. They take care of walk ins, to-go orders, app orders, and table service efficiently and with a smile. I usually order ahead on the app and even when I have had to wait and ask about the status of my order, they ACTUALLY check on the status of my order and report back. This place is fresh, consistent, friendly, and always busy. This place is always busy, but clean, and could be a cool place to get work done if you have headphones.

I never care enough to write a Yelp review but it's just too comical that I have ordered here 100 times and there have only been a handful of those orders that WEREN'T wrong in some way lol. Like if I switch a dressing, they will still use the original dressing. If I build my own sandwich, they will just forget some add-ons that I paid extra for. Btw they will NEVER include your tangy bbq sauce if you specifically order it, so don't bother paying extra for it when you're building a sandwich lol. I think it's because they leave it at the front so that you have to pick it up yourself? Idk.. Right now I'm eating my salad that I had specifically asked them "no superfood krunchies" because I feel like it's going to break my tooth. I picked up my salad and saw the receipt taped on top said "NO SUPERFOOD KRUNCHIES" so I'm like great awesome they did it correctly! But then I come home and there are indeed superfood krunchies in it lmaoooo Awesome :) I will just swallow my salad whole without chewing so my dentist doesn't get mad at me :( Oh last thing, once they messed up my sandwich so much that I actually called to tell them because I was so annoyed. The person who answered said he would tell the manager to get me a refund. But did that ever happen? No lol. I never care enough to actually get angry or follow up about these things, but my GOD fix your freaking takeout / delivery orders. Jeez! I'm the clown for still ordering here lol but it's conveniently next to my work, so what can you do.

Love the food, but it's disappointing that they constantly mess up to go orders. Today we ordered a salad and sandwich. Salad was missing key ingredient. No goat cheese! A major ingredient, like the 2nd thing listed on the description. Of course you don't see this till you arrive home and it's too late. Just wish got what paid for.

The food here is always so good, fresh, and juicy sandwiches. I love the freshly made lemonades mixed with other essential fruits to make it crisp. Don't let the seating from the outside fool you. There's plenty of seating inside and in the back. Worth sitting down and eating instead of grabbing a lunch and being on the go. And it is a good one. Prices are reasonable. I got the chicken caprese sandwich And they doused it with balsamic vinegar which made it so juicy. They are service dog friendly. I appreciate that. During lunch hours, they should have more cashiers, or more help in general. I felt the 15 minute line to place my order was a bit long for lunch hour, I went at 1:00 p.m., and then we waited another 15 minutes for our sandwiches to come out. It's probably better to place your order online, go in and pick it up, then sit down and eat it. It's probably more efficient. However, I like having the offline experience. I kind of like having the human interaction. But the staff was friendly. It was just slow.

my office gets Mendocino catered sometimes for work lunches but tbh I don't understand why. Sweetgreens and Main Chick and Lemonade are much better options closeby. Mendocino bread is kinda soggy and their popular couscous tastes like oil

I like the mendo farms by the grove but this one just didn't hit the spot in the same way. I got the pork belly banh mi and a side Italian chickpea salad. The flavor was there but I was disappointed in the size. $20 for a sandwich and side & I'm expecting either something spectacular or at least something filling. This location is also pretty hard to find and while there is validated parking, the parking lot is pretty horrendous. I don't know, maybe it's just an off day, but I don't think I will be returning to this location.

This happened a few months ago, but I'm only now writing about it. There has been major construction next door to the restaurant. I was eating in the back patio area, which is nice, but the construction was loud and they were cutting wood and a bunch of saw dust sprayed over everyone outside and on our food. Mendocino replaced our food for free, but how can they let this happen? Don't they know construction next door will cause all kinds of dirt and dust that spreads throughout their back patio?
