It was a great experience here. I was able to taste their best seller and it was so good!

Place seems to still be closed. Called and left hundreds of message on their voicemail. No response. Am I alone? We made reservations before covid. Once covid hit, it was all over. Now, instead of dining in the dark, we are in the dark.

Nice place. We did a show here and it's beautiful. Great event space

Doesn't seem like they're open anymore. We've been trying to call for months and no answer nor message reply. Very sad as this was a very unique restaurant with an experience like no other. It gave us empathy to understand what its like to not have vision and gave us a reason to talk with one another again. True verbal communications in the best way with no phones, no superficial materialism, nothing. It was truly peaceful.

I have gone twice, And be wise whom you take. Grown mature people only… This is an EXPERIENCE not just going to a restaurant to eat out. Definitely not 5 star food.. Yes the food is just ok.. nothing fancy, but it’s not bad. I absolutely enjoyed myself both times I went, Im planning on making another reservation this month for another daughters birthday. It’s is very pricey but if your open minded and like and want to enjoy different experiences you’ll love this. It’s worth the money… don’t listen to them who say it’s not. They probably would rather spend there money on just baseball games and poker.

Even though yelp and Google says this restaurant is open, it is not. My boyfriend and I went to 2020 Wilshire last night and the building was locked. What a disappointment. I wish they said online that theywere closed. Would have saved us a 30 minute drive!

I was low key hoping someone would have posted an all black photo of their steak or something. ;) loololo This place was a great experience. Yes, it's a little pricey. You're really paying for a unique experience along with your dinner. It's a great spot for a creative date, something out of the ordinary. Your date will talk about this experience for years to come. The food was good, admittedly nothing exceptional. I got the steak, it was tasty and well cooked. See picture! The experience was so cool. The staff are remarkable, you would never know they were visually impaired otherwise. It was nearly pitch black, the only time you could see light was when the kitchen door opened (there is a second door but there's a little gap). It really helped me focus on what my date was saying. Your conversation is so clear because you're trying to find your dining partner with your voice. We both also tried to imagine what the room and all the people looked like. This is definitely a unique and fun dining experience. Go for it, you only live once!

last night was our first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the superb cooking and booze and with the comfortable price. We will definitely come back in a short time.

This was my chicken dish. Yum.

Overpriced and ludicrous: perfect for trend sucking dilettantes. There’s a reason they don’t let you see your food, and it isn’t a good one.

Made a reservation for valentines day online. Later I was contacted by an employee who stated that unless I pay up front for the reservation it would be cancelled. It was a very rude way to conduct business. I wanted to cancel on the spot but I really wanted to try the premise so I submitted to the extortion and took my girlfriend for valentines day. I had a reservation for 9:30 PM. We arrived into the night club which the restaurant is inside of around 9:15 PM. We were explained the process and waited to be seated in the actual room. We were not seated until 10:30PM. This point was highly upsetting, but we went in and gave it a shot. We were seated by a waiter who was nice, but absent. He he arrive with a course, explain what was in front of us and for us to determine the actual food, and then would basically be absent for half an hour. We tried the whole eating in the dark thing but the food quality was terrible. Everything was overcooked, mushy and way too salty. I felt like I was being punished for the experience rather than taking my girlfriend for a great eating experience. The employees were very apathetic. Didnt care to even be there and it showed. Especially the guard on the lot behind the building. He was the rudest of all, barked at us it was $20 to park and when we took half a second to register what he said, he sort of screamed at us that the way to leave was back the way we came. Overall it was an abysmal experience that I would not wish on anyone. Negative 10 stars.

I went to Opaque with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. Overall it was a great experience that I was very glad to have and would consider going again. Arriving: We were kind of confused when we first arrived to the location. I had already read online that it is located inside Senator Jones Lounge so that was not a surprise. But online it said they do valet parking but no one was outside so we did not know where to park. Eventually after wandering inside the hostess told us to drive around and park in a lot directly behind the building, and that is what we did. We had a 6pm reservation (which I was later grateful more....more on that later) there was no one else there yet for Opaque. The hostess guided us to a booth in the lounge where they had some cocktail options. We tried two of them....both were 'meh' nothing special but we still enjoyed. We went through orientation of what to expect and the ToDos and NotToDos when in the restaurant. Additionally she asked about allergies, dietary restrictions, and protein preference for entree. You could opt to look at the menu and pick what you eat but she encourages us to go for a mystery menu, which is what we did. I had not seen menu pictures on Yelp so I really did not know what to expect. ENTERING THE DARK: We were met in the lounge by Margarita our waitress. She told us a bit about the experience and then she had us grab her shoulders and create a chain as we walked through a hallway and into total darkness. We walked slowly kind of marching as she led us to our table. She guided out hand to feel the table and our chair. Once seated she gave us an orientation of our table to feel where our cups and utensils were, and the bread bowl. IT WAS VERY DARK I mean duh...but it can be a little disorienting when you're in there. Margarita and Rafael were the staff in the room and were very welcoming. They suggested closing your eyes to ease into it but it was not so bad for me. We were the first and only people in the restaurant for most of our meal. About halfway another couple was getting seated but could not handle the dark and went back out. It as fun to feel around the table and talk to the staff. Margarita and Rafael were so nice and we had good conversation with them talking about their lives and the Opaque experience, they were incredibly friendly. THE FOOD: We got a first tasting, appetizer, palette cleanser, entree, and dessert. Overall the food was tasty. There was nothing super outlandish or unusual about the food so I think most people would enjoy that part. In the moment it was all amazing. I had the best time eating the food in the dark. Most of the food I ate with my fingers because utensils was harder. We had fun sharing parts of our food as we each were served different things. So that was fun trying to hand each other bites of things. Margarita and Rafael would have us guess what we had eaten after each course. We were very bad at guessing but it was still so fun. We did get some things right, but your mind can play tricks on you. My favorite thing I ate was the bacon tempura. Like I am still thinking about how good that was. Again, in the moment it was such a cool experience with enjoyable food. Margarita even gave us a little bit of champagne on the house to celebrate. Afterwards thinking back I do kind of think that the food portions and quality does not quite match up to the price, so I can understand some people not feeling good about that. But you are paying for a unique experience and all in all I am glad that I did it! DINING IN THE DARK: Since we had a 6pm reservation on a Saturday I guess that is early because no one else was there. This was actually pretty nice because for most of our meal we got the attention of both Margarita and Rafael and had good conversation. Towards the end of our meal another couple entered and it was fun to share some words in the dark with them But once the next group of 4-6 came in the room got really loud. It felt pretty overwhelming at that point but luckily we were ready to be escorted out. We did ha

Not the greatest experience for valentines day. The quality of food was mediocre and honestly I lost my appetite considering the dark atmosphere and tight spaces, also the place smelled weird! Was ok for one time experience. Do not recommend this place at all. Not worth it.
