The sushi is delicious, but everything is spoiled by the atmosphere and service, not only is there so little space, but even with these 5-7 guests the waiters manage to make mistakes and not fulfill orders correctly. I've been to this place twice, both times my bill per person was about $250Yesterday was my last visit there - I really don’t like it when they bring you the bill if you didn’t ask, and what’s more, there are dishes on the bill that were never brought to you. I'm sure there are better places in LA at this price.

Very overpriced for some good but not life changing sushi. My biggest complaint was the extremely awkward wait staff. They should be a lot more polished for $200 per person. Also, being sort of shoved into the corner of the hotel leaves the atmosphere a bit wanting.

Great small and delicious Japanese Restaurant in the corner of the Fairmont Hotel! The most amazing and fresh fish. Under your eyes rolled sushi and brilliant side dishes, like miso soup, edamame and Japanese appetizers. A place to go and recommend to everybody.

The freshness of the sushi is something that no where else would be able to beat. The restaurant is located inside the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. I went with my friend who is in a wheelchair, and they were so kind and accommodating. They had us seated in the cozy, wheelchair accessible room located next door, and it was such a great experience. The waitress provided us with such great service. Pricey, but excellent quality.

Best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. It’s always fresh, of the highest quality, and you can see the intention and attention to detail as the chefs work in front of you. I live in Seattle but make it a point to eat dinner here when I’m in LA. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Love their O’Toro nigiri, the sashimi assortment, and the chef’s 6 course meal. They even have a wasabi plant inside for the freshest wasabi I’ve had yet. Plus the chefs and staff are fun and friendly people. Looking forward to coming back, guys!

Wow. Best sushi I’ve ever had in my life, and we eat sushi at least twice a week. The team made our anniversary one to remember. Not only was the food incredible, the chefs were kind and spent time getting to know us, and Donna was such a good listener she was always on the spot to help with our interests and needs. So impressed and can’t wait to go back!

Some of the best tuna around! Really enjoyed the intimate setting at the bar and the fantastic service from Donna and Chef Masa. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sushi fix in Santa Monica.

Omg, what a place!!!! This is the best restaurant in SM by a long mile! The food is just too good to be true! I'm thrilled I finally found a legit sushi place in SM. The service is also outstanding, as I was waiting for a table at the nearest bar they even come to get me saying that your table is ready. Like never, I had experienced such special treatment from start to finish. Wow, just wow! Special thanks to Charlotte, Donna, Masa, and Kei. A truly Michelene star team! The only thing I wish I could get is a beer for chefs. That's just a tradition! Sending love to this gem!

Celebrating our year anniversary, my partner and I enjoyed the warmest, most attentive, and delicious omakase sushi experience and this exclusive 8-seat sushi bar. Located inside the gorgeous Fairmont Miramar, Soko served up some of the best sushi I've ever tasted - and for a reasonable price omakase-wise. Front of house host and server, Angel and Donna, were delightful, while chefs Kei and Masa delivered impeccable specialties. Thank you, Soko, for an experience we will never forget.

Exceptional! What a gem of a restaurant.Brian and Donna were extremely welcoming , and the food prepared by Chefs Masa and Kei was out of this world. We went for a selection of rolls and nigiri, plus the bluefin tuna sharing platter. Everything was delicious!

Exceptional in service, freshness of ingredients, and overall presentation. The omakase is pricy af but it is to be experienced at least once. Donna as a waitress brings authentic charisma and kindness. In a sea of good servers in LA she ranks in the top 3 for me.

What a gem, my husband and I checked into the Fairmont hotel and I noticed this cute sushi spot at the corner of my eye. We were starving and let me tell you, what an experience. Its cute, small, quant sushi bar/dining. We were greeted by Angel, and guided us through the menu selections. The service was on point, clean and the sushi OMG comes from Japan. All we can say was wow!! to every dish we ate. Also, Brian was super sweet and educated us on each sake paring we ate with our meal. Thank you Soko team for making our first day so special. Brian, Angel, Masa & Kei keep up the amazing work and art you present in your sushi dishes.
