Another fantastic meal at Sol Agave last night. The soups - tortilla and jalepeno - are beyond amazing. Followed by the chili rellenos, which were also exceptional. Jalepeno Margaritas topped off the evening. Highly recommend!

The margarita flights looked great but barely had any alcohol in them. The shrimp taquitos smelled. The tacos tased just OK. Overall had higher expectations from this restaurant and didn’t have a good experience.

They provide some awesome food. The cheese fondue is supreme as well as the pork belly. You can even have a kind of a tapas selection from the starters. Service and location is a pleasure. Thx for the great dinner.

Sol Agave is a solid choice for lunch. It wasn’t super busy on a Sunday at 1pm. The covered patio was heated and comfortable even though it was chilly and windy. We tried the charred romaine salad which was just ok. The chips and salsa and guacamole were delicious. I also really liked the Camerones Al Gusto. Our vegan tacos could have been more flavorful, maybe with the addition of a nut based “crema” or something to give a little more flavor. Surprisingly dessert was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The butter cake is a MUST order menu item. Sol Agave is worth a try!

First time trying the restaurant. Been wanting to come here for some time!Started with chips, salsa and bean dip. Bean dip is really tasty. I had a Tamarindo Margarita. It was excellent! My wife had Cafe de Olla. She like it too.The appetizer was the Pulpo a las brasas (octopus). Also good. It was tender and well seasoned.On to the mains. The Chile Verde was savory, spicy and had a satisfying tomatillo flavor. The pork was tender and juicy.The star of the show had to be my wife's seabass. Oh wow, it was better than most seafood restaurants I've been to in the last couple years. Worth getting, tender, flakey but firm, and really tasty!For dessert, I had the Tres Leches cake. My wife had buttercake with ice cream. Both were good, but large. Ended up taking 1/2 of each homeOur server was super helpful.Overall, great experience.Tip: While there is underground parking, it is limited. We found a surface public lot on Main St., a block over that was easy and had a direct walkway to the restaurant.

My husband and I are Mexican and we loooved this place. The salsa, the beans, the guacamole with carnitas, shrimp tacos, grilled octopus, everything was delicious. The service was great too and the place is very nice. I would give more stars if I could. We are visiting LA, but definitely want to come back!
