We LOVE this place. Great food. Incredibly warm atmosphere and service. The family that owns this has a great vision and cares so much about everyone that comes in.

We came from Toronto and were recommended for this place. My family and I love it here .! So many option and choices …if I have to give golden buzzer -this place is well deserved..!!

This is one of my favorite go to in Santa Monica. They’re so friendly, you can throw a dart at the menu, and it’s good.

Took 2 friends there to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were very good. Noise level was WAY too high. We were in a small room in the rear with just 3 tables: ours, one with two men and an empty table. The two men were talking so loud that we couldn't hear each other at our own table. We commented to our server (who kind of shrugged) and then finally one of the women at our table calmly, politely told the men she was enjoying their conversation but couldn't hear the conversation at our own table. They chuckled ("are we talking too loud?") and then proceeded to continue their conversation. It was so uncomfortable that the woman celebrating her birthday said although she liked the food she'd never return to the restaurant. The men had finished their meal about halfway through our meal and we were anxiously waiting for them to leave, but they didn't. Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. I think the server, or host, could have helped to have them turn down the volume.

Great variety of food options. Very attentive staff. Perfect for sitting outside on a beautiful day. Love what they’ve done with the space - very well thought out and creative. We had the crositni, turkey sandwich and crepes. Delicious and tasteful.

Food overall was good except for the eggplant parm. It wasn't hot, The eggplant wasn't soft enough and there was hardly any cheese, just a bit of shredded parm on top. Very blah and disappointing.

Our server and the food were great. The manager was a different story. He acted like he was doing us a favor by sitting at us at the worst table in the back room of restaurant even though there were many other empty tables in better locations. Then he proceeded to sit a table of loud teenagers right next to us in this small room. Our server apologized multiple times, but we never heard again from the manager. When we left, he couldn't be bothered to look up from his phone and ask us how the meal was or say good night. We will not be coming back.

It's such a treat to dine at The Courtyard kitchen. Big plates or small plates arrive looking good and tasting even better. The staff is top notch and we always get great service from Brian.

Really enjoyed early dinner with a friend on Feb 22. A very friendly gal made sure we were warm in the patio as soon as I mentioned it was very cold sitting out. Our server, Brian, was amazing and so sweet and friendly. The food was outstanding, the bread and olive tapenade and the kale soup (vegan). I bought a 3rd soup to take home I liked it so much! We were start going here more often, I forgot how good it is! Thank you!

Almost every weekend, my friend and I have this little tradition where we walk over to Courtyard Kitchen on Montana Ave for breakfast. It's honestly such a highlight. The place has a cozy vibe that just feels right, especially with Emma welcoming us with a big smile every time we go. The food here is something we always look forward to. Their latte is a perfect start, and we've tried a bunch of dishes that never disappoint. The Morning Bowl is fresh and filling, the Tale of Green Eggs gives a fun twist on eggs, and the Granola Parfait and TCK Avocado Toast are just delicious. It's the kind of menu that keeps you coming back to try something new. What really makes this place stand out is how friendly everyone is. It's casual, welcoming, and just a great spot to kickstart the weekend. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's become a staple for us for good reason!

I loved the French Bistro feel of the place. Little rooms connected by narrow walkways and a small courtyard are quaint, if not a bit too cramped. Not exactly wheelchair friendly. But the food and service are great.

The staff is super friendly, especially our charismatic server Ross. He made sure we were well taken care of and kept our coffee mugs filled, always with a smile. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis!

I've been many times. For some reason this time the staff were pushing us to leave and there were plenty of other tables. Seems like this is not the place to go to to catch up with someone and have a nice meal

I went there today for the second time in a few years the first time the service was horrible as was the food. Today was even worse I was there with three friends he never came to check on us I had a hamburger and lettuce the lettuce was about an inch big I had to request that and catch up and napkins because he never came back the hamburger was like eating a rubber tire terrible I'm very overrated and priced. The location and the appearance is fine everything else is awful
