This place has been around for nearly 100 years and now I understand why. The food was delicious! The burger was so good and cooked to perfection. Our server Erin was wonderful and after I lost something the staff couldn't have been more helpful in helping me find it. We will definitely come back.

We had amazing Cesar salad with chicken and shrimp. I had a Salty Wench and we're still in touch. jK. It was grapefruit / vodka and awesome. Also, Brad says the pufferfish was delicious. Billy says more eclectic atmosphere than Lulu's. The candle reminds us of a Paul Klee. But it just could be the vodka. Also the staff is super nice.

Wish we had more time to try this place out. As it was we had happy hour out on the back patio. Staff was attentive and the happy hour portions were exceptional, especially the fish tacos. Drink prices were up there for happy hour though. The vibe inside is cool, but the bar was full so we sat outside.

I love the Galley! Solid Santa Monica Hole in a Wall since 1934. I love their Happy Hour - 3-7pm - which features delicious fish tacos, fried chicken sandwich, burger, calamari, discounted beer, wine, and galley cocktails.Truly enjoyed my ribeye, best served with broccolini or the classic mushrooms. Excellent service, regulars, and vibes every time. Strongly recommend.

Fun, Funky, Kitschy and an absolute must if you’re in Santa Monica. This joint has been around FOREVER! Wildly popular locals joint. Had the burger and loved it. I could sink into a corner booth and just people watch or let my mind wander over a few strong drinks as the Doors play in the background. Love this place! Ya gotta’ make time to come here if you’re anywhere near Santa Monica.
One of my favorite bars in Santa Monica, don’t miss the house dressing on the salad! And for meat eaters, I love the tomahawk steak.

We've been going to The Galley for 20 years. Until today it was one of our favorite restaurants. After today I can't ever go back there. We made a 6:30pm reservation for a booth, for dinner on Valentines day. We showed up about 20 minutes early, they had overbooked and couldn't honor our reservation, said if we waited at the bar they might be able to later. They did have a small table (not the booth we reserved), we reluctantly took that. The waitress took our order, about 5 minutes after taking the order of the table next to us, brought our drinks and the bus boy brought the salad I'd orderd, but the waitress then disappeared and didn't come back. 50 minutes later the table next to us had been served and paid and left, and every other table in the room had been served. We still didn't have our food. We left after paying for the drinks and salad, I was actually dismayed that they accepted the payment instead of comping it given what happened. I simply cannot go back there again.

Beware! Prices are close to a Michelin star restaurant$$$$$ For 2 of us and the bill was. $331.85 plus tip came to $396.85...( because $90 for 2 T-shirts) .Service was friendly... You really must ask what the market prices are before ordering. A good server will tell you what the "Market Price is" but not at THE GALLEY!... $60 for clams -sauce was bland like just water and $50.00 for Halibut. Drink menu has no prices on it. Bought 2 T-shirts had no idea they would put it on the same bill as the food...@$45.00 each... On the receipt I thought it read $35 each...I was shocked...I accidentally paid tip on that. We should have asked ... Our fault... Owner never even said hello. We were there around 5:30pm .. it wasn't like he was busy. Not returning.
