I used to love this bar until all the good KJs left. Last time I went, the KJ was so rude that I haven't been back. Here's what happened: I left my song selection blank, which is pretty typical for regular and casual singers who want to feel out the vibe before picking their song. I didn't go to a karaoke bar to sing for myself after all. Immediately, the KJ was annoyed by this and it showed when she asked "what song?" I asked if she had 'Do I Wanna Know?' by the Arctic Monkeys. They did not, even though it topped the charts for months but okay. I asked for another song and without even checking she went on to read the next name on the list. It's not my fault that the Gaslite has a limited selection or that the only apparent reference to their songs list is a disgusting, beer-stained, ripped, and sticky stack of papers that are barely bound together and I do not appreciate being punished for the Gaslite's shortcomings--but what else could you expect from an establishment that takes it's name from a form of mental/emotional abuse? Save yourself the irritation and skip this place.

Decent dive vibe but there is nothing on draft and they have the audacity to charge $8 for a 12oz PBR. All the drinks were overpriced for the quality of the place. The karaoke guy was nice but the song selection is slim compared to others and when I went up to do a song the monitor volume was at zero and couldn't hear the song hardly at all which made impossible to keep tempo.

I had the best time here. Do you love local karaoke dive bars? Do you like buying lottery tickets while drinking? Do you want to go to a classy establishment where the female business owner is running for congress? You can get this all at The Gaslite. Highly recommend this spot for a good time. I suggest putting your name on the karaoke list as soon as you get there as it can get really busy. I will definitely be back.

Karaoke hostess was terrible. Sound quality was terrible, except for 2 people out of 10. (Maybe her friends?). An extremely generous tip resulted in a 25 minute wait, and she sang herself in between (if people are paying, don't insert yourself - I was in this business myself). No effort to try to make singers other than her local friends (I'm guessing, because it was very selective) sound good.

If you're looking for a laugh, this is not a bad place to go ?It looks a bit 'rough', it reminded me of the Bar from the Tarantino movie 'Dusk til Dawn', but it's actually really okay.The Customers are all friendly and everyone gets into the Party vibe. The drinks are good and not too pricey. The Karaoke is DIY on an iPad which is really good ?We didn't try the food, so I can't comment.Well worth a visit if you're in town ?
came for karaoke and it was great! watching people sing was really fun and more entertaining than you may think. I didn't drink or eat, but the atmosphere was fun and the bartender even got up and sang.
