Rustic Coffee is an unremarkable place at first glance, a real diamond in the rough, but at the same time beautiful. A small cozy place with a classic coffee shop menu, where you can sit while you wait for your order or enjoy it.But this is not the main thing here. Anyone who understands coffee and its preparation knows that in America it is very difficult to find good coffee - sour/bitter, overheated with foam in half a glass of coffee, which also has to wait unreasonably long, has become the norm (hello Starbucks)But in Rustic They know how to make coffee! As an experienced barista, I can safely say - If you love coffee, then be sure to visit this establishment, you will not regret it. HIGHLY recommend.

I came for a macchiato, which didn't impress me especially. A few hours later, I returned to see how this place would do on the food end. I ordered a ham and cheddar sandwich, which turned out to be the single most delicious thing that I ate during a three-day stay in the Santa Monica canyon. I like Rusti and would come back again for further coffee explorations. After all, no one is perfect! This coffee-shop-in-a-trailer business reminded me immediately of Highwire Coffee in Albany, CA yelp.com/biz/highwire-co… . I guess that this is a thing. It's a good thing too: what else are you going to do with that old trailer?

Talk about a hidden gem! The Spanish latte I had was incredibly (I got it iced with no whip cream). And it came out 1 second after I ordered it. It's also in a super cute little area with a taco spot and specialty grocery store nearby. Didn't get food this time but definitely will next time.

This review is more about the atmosphere of the space. The trailer is usually great. I Just walked in with my son and within seconds got screamed at how kids "need to know their place" and they "aren't important." I was just trying to get my son a smoothie. Another mom said "why are you yelling at her she wasn't even here" he kept saying he didn't care. Was shocked to learn he was the owner of the space canyon square, think his name is Frank. A huge group of people left. He was so unbelievably rude

Rude barista. I asked about bathrooms (there are none). She flatly said "there's a gas station a block away or the beach"Didn't tell me which way to go or anything.I went the only way that seemed to make sense. Made it all the way to the beach and saw zero gas stations or bathrooms.Wont be back

Spanish latte was delicious. Mixed berries scone could’ve been slightly sweeter but I liked it.

The world's best thick-cut toast with nut butter and bananas.
