We stopped in Truxtons because it is next door to the Tesla charge station. Wow! We loved the food and the service. Our server, Mark, was amazing! And they have outdoor dog friendly seating.

This was absolutely the best experience. Everyone was very nice and attentive. This was my first time eating here after hearing so many great things about this restaurant. Breakfast here is new and they offer free coffee in the mornings during the week. The food came out hot and was delish!!! My coffee was continuously filled it never had a chance to get cold. Anything we needed was met with quick service. Breakfast was great. A return visit is a must for lunch.

When you walk in the door, you know you are in for a vacation. Great decor and lively with people. Luckily we were able to build a back table next to the gate (not a great table but better than nothing!) which didn't phase us in as we knew we had been eating after having a great meal here two days earlier. I ordered the maple fried rosemary chicken sandwich, my friend had the fried chicken and we tried the Chinese chicken salad. Very tasty and fast service.

Love this place. Been to another location and they both have great fast service. Food is always great. Got the spicy cali burrito and it was AMAZING. Tried my friends taquito but it was nothing special, just ok. They serve brunch everyday.

Every food item I've had from here has been amazing. I have only gotten carry out (maybe 10-15 times in the past 2 years) but my favorite item is their breakfast burrito with candied jalapeños. I wish they had more customization on their regular food items but it won't deter me from ordering from here.

Unfortunately, I believe we received what's known as the "Black Treatment". I had heard about this all my life, but didn't think I would ever be the recipient of such treatment in my life. We chose to take my little granddaughter out for breakfast, thus mom and Dad selected Truxton's Santa Monica location. As grandma, I selected to get there early and make arrangements for our cozy party of six. It was anything but hospitable! I was seated at a table for about 20 minutes and not one waiter came to ask if I wanted water or coffee or anything! The Manager or possibly the owner watched from her viewing point as she directed her small staff to cater to other diners who came in after I was seated. When my family arrived I was ready to leave, but didn't want to spoil the party. At best, the food was not top drawer and several items were not available! My daughter asked if there was anything special for a birthday girl and it was "No" at first until 2 lovely senior citizens chimed in and saved the day. Then, the manager/ proprietor smiles and puts on a great act of hospitality!! Never Again! Too little Too late!! I will never tolerate this kind of behavior anywhere! If you're not treated Right, Leave immediately! Don't give them your money!!

Just moved to Santa Monica area and decided to try this place out- the food was amazing, highly recommend coming for their Happy Hour for some great small plates. Definitely order the firecracker chicken tenders! The only reason why I rated this 4 stars is because of their use of single-use plastic! I'm apart of "Ocean Friendly Restaurants" and would love to talk to the owner/manager about becoming OFR Certified and helping keep our Santa Monica beaches and oceans cleaner! Please let me know if you would be interested in becoming and ocean friendly restaurant! :)

My gf and I just had dinner at this location. The food was average at best. I ordered the pokey bowl and it was light that had only 4 to 5 small pieces of tuna. My girlfriend ordered the chicken spicy penne pasta and it lacked flavor and was not spicy at all. Our server Jack was the highlight of our short stay. We walked in and he told us to sit wherever we want (The place was half full at best). When we chose to sit at a specific booth, Jack mentioned that that booth is reserved for bigger parties. A few minutes later, after we sat down at another booth, a party of two sat at the bigger booth we wanted in the first place. Jack forgot to bring us waters when I asked him to bring waters, he asked if you can bring us the check even though my girlfriend was still eating, and when I asked him for it to validate my parking ticket, he threw it on the table instead of handing it back to me. Clearly Jack wasn't in the mood to work tonight and sadly it's because of him that I'll never come back to this place. Great margaritas though.
What a lovely setting for your dinner. I recently visited and tried the Portland Burger and Shrimp Tacos, which were both delicious. The dish was tasty and came out well. The location is also quite cool. The decor is warm and inviting, with plenty of wall art. It's quite stylish and fashionable, having a hipster feel about it. The tables and chairs are also really comfortable. The customer service is excellent. This establishment comes highly recommended.

Nice place! Great drinks!! French Onion soup was so amazing. I'm told the monkey bread is indelible. We went late and they were out of it. (Darn!) Great burgers & the Hawaiian was reportedly incredible. I had the mushroom linguini pasta that was very good. Fresh Cookie a a la mode.... YUMM!

Came in after I dropped off the kiddos to their grandma and ordered a couple bottles of champagne, a salad and fries. The service from, Aiden, was excellent. Ordered drinks first. Gave a minute to look over the menu but didn't wait long and got my order under 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend and will be coming here again

I had to drop my car off at the dealership down the street for a recall and had some time to kill. Truxton's was good. I was alone and sat at the bar. I ordered the fish and chips, it came with garlic parmesan fries which was delicious. Overall, I didn't think their staff was as friendly as I'd like them to be. The hostess wasn't very friendly and the guy working behind the counter didn't even bother to make small talk with a patron eating alone. I felt like I had to flag people down to get my water, then the straw and finally my check. There was only one other person at the bar and maybe 2 tables with customers. Now that I'm back to eating out often, I'm really noticing the difference with places who have hands on managers who really watch over the staff. But I'd probably come back for their happy hour to try other food options...with my other half or with friends.

Fabulous! The service, the delicious flavors, the hospitality and the atmosphere made this the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner with my son. Prices are amazing, given the ambiance and generous portion sizes. Would recommend this spot for a date night because of the comfort, privacy in the booths and warm lighting. Highly recommend!
