Greasy and tasteless food. Order 2 largest pizza and pasta for a birthday gathering. Nice atmosphere with an overworked front end staff. Pizza and pasta had more grease than taste. Wouldn't go back or recommend this place. Save your time and money. Kids running around like Chuck E Cheese patrons on steroids or molly without parental control!

The food was ok, not the worst,, but not the best Italian food. My pasta was cold and dry. Did not have enough sauce.

Quote from someone elses review: "If there's one thing that's hard to mess up, it's Pizza." I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE! A solid pizza with good fundamentals is incredibly rare, especially on the west coast. And then I found Vito's! A NY style spot in LA. And it's an actual great NY style pizza. I got the 18" Red Meat pie for $36 which is enough pizza for 2-4 days for me. Beautiful undercarriage. Nice thin style crust. Fresh ingredients. Only complaint: a little too floppy for me, but I got it delivered and it's quite a lot of toppings. I'll try the pepperoni next time. Highly recommend this place for anyone who's particular about your NY style. I've tried many pizza places in LA and haven't been satisfied. This is an 8.4 on the Dave Portnoy scale btw.

Oh boy, where do I even start with Vito's Pizza? Let me tell you, it was an experience I'm still trying to erase from my memory. As someone who practically considers pizza a food group, I was beyond excited to try out Vito's, given all the hype. But let me tell you, the disappointment was as thick as the grease on their pizza - which, by the way, was an absolute disaster. First off, the grease. Oh, the grease! It was like they confused pizza sauce with oil, making it impossible to even pick up a slice without it disintegrating into a greasy mess in my hands. I thought pizza was supposed to be enjoyable, not a slip and slide for your fingers. And the cheese? Don't get me started. I'm all for cheesy goodness, but this was just ridiculous. There was so much cheese that finding the bread underneath felt like going on an archeological dig. It was cheese overkill to the point where I wondered if they were trying to compensate for something. The aftermath? Let's just say it turned me off pizza for over six months. Just thinking about it made my stomach do flips. Me, an avid pizza lover, nauseated by the mere thought of pizza because of how disgustingly greasy and unbalanced Vito's version was. It's a crime against pizza, and I'm still not over it. So, if you value your love for pizza and your stomach, steer clear of Vito's. It's not just a meal; it's a greasy nightmare that'll haunt your pizza-loving soul. Consider yourselves warned.

4.1/5 - Cool NY spot on the main drag in Santa Monica, spacious inside with rough parking. Shop - pretty big spot! A big box with scattered tables and a long bar. Knocked down a really spicy, flavorful Old Fashioned while I waited. Super good cocktail. Music loud, plenty of space 4.5/5 Structure/crust - traditional NY pie, big round and relatively well cooked. These are big slices and I expected some flop....a break of the back crust and the cheese slice held up fairly well. Pizza was a tad undercooked for my personal liking, I'd bet a quick run in the pizza oven would crisp it up nicely. Caught a faint taste of fermentation in a few bites, but not a ton of development. Overall, really good, not great. Chewy enough, just a bit short on crunch for me. 4/5 Sauce - standard issue, good balance. Typical milled tomatoes and maybe a pinch of salt. 4/5 Cheese - good spread of mozz w something a bit sharper to build the flavor. Decent pull on the bite; enjoyable. 4/5. Just enough hipster to be Santa Monica, just enough NYC in the pizza to get the nod from an East Coaster, I'm sure. Would try again...don't sleep on that bartender's old fashioned - mama mia!

Delicious. Just go. Really, stop reading, just go. Somewhat Upscale order up neighborhood pizza place, with surprisingly solid standard restaurant fare including tortellini, and an amazing baked ziti (they completely nailed this dish). They have a small but well curated the selection of beers on tap, as well as a full bar. The atmosphere is upscale though seating is basically at picnic tables and two tops. Very well lit, clean, spacious, the place just feels "fresh." Very friendly service. Definitely a go!

Ordered a sausage subs to go. Tasted ok but portion size was small, would need two of these for one person. Guess it's the norm here but will not repeat, very disappointed. There are other places with better food and more reasonable prices.
