“Anna's a great edition to Santa Paula that began during the covid pandemic. It's a friendly place with live music on the weekends. You can sit outside on the expansive patio or inside, where it's friendly and comfortable. There are about 5-10 taps that include a variety of their ciders or rotating local beer taps. I really liked the habanero cider, it's a delicious straight forward cider with a bit of a kick. However, it was their wine that really spoke to me. I like their reds, I tried two on my last visit. You can expect to pay about $7-8 per drink. And order some food from next door at Gunsmoke BBQ or the food trucks that pull right up to the patio, if they are hosting food trucks when you visit. Make a full night of it. You won't regret the choice. See their Instagram for photos and more details. Be sure to note hours before you go. Parking in small lot and on street.“

Red Engine Brewing Company Brewery •
803 Ventura St, Fillmore - 8.42 miles

“Like this place a lot! Make the trek to Fillmore to try this place! Very new, clean, and all great beers! Also have events like trivia. Only suggestion to business is make it easier to get water while drinking beer. Had a flight and enjoyed it!“

Topa Topa Brewing Co. Brewery • $
2024 Ventura Blvd #112, Camarillo - 9.54 miles

“Great place. Good beer, great service. Topa Topa is where the employees from other local breweries go when they aren't working. I know because they are very open about it, from what I experienced. My opinion says Topa Topa is better. I wonder why? That says a lot!Freda's pizza is great. Bill has quite an impressive operation. Customer service is always their number one priority.I once had a complaint bc they made the wrong pizza, due to my party's miscommunication, and difficult pizza. Sorry! The owner walks out and says he accepts the blame, and personally made the right one. And asked us to also keep the other one, which I actually liked. It was the people we were with who had the specific order. They didn't say we, the customers, were in the wrong. The opposite happens at another large brewery in town. That really turned me off. Taking sides with the staff over the paying customers will never keep a customer-reliant business open...in the long run. Bad reputations get around and cannot be changed once the 'cement' is poured and dried in the public's opinion.Topa Topa has a great patio with live music often. The beers are fresh here and a great location. No wonder the other large brewery's staff flocks to Topa Topa. I'm my opinion, it's just because it's friendly and Topa Topa cares about the community and it's most valued customers.I just noticed also that Jack, owner/founder of Topa Topa, even replies to Yelp posts. He clearly doesn't take his customers for granted. Excellent.Oh one more thing, the other brewery told me it was inappropriate to be taking photos at the bar bc the staff felt uncomfortable. Topa Topa appreciates guests taking photos and sharing. Here are some! Thanks for letting me take these photos Topa Topa! They are just for the Untappd app.Cheers! Come on down to Topa Topa“

“Institution Ale is an amazing place for food and beer. They have an amazing selection of beer that is all unique and tasty. I highly recommend their pizzas and their pretzels. Both are delicious. The service is also very good. I could not recommend this place more for a quick bite and a delicious beer.“

Flat Fish Brewing Company Brewery • $$
126 Wood Rd #100, Camarillo - 9.64 miles

“We came here for the first time because of the Sweet Deals beer booklet. We would have never stumbled upon it because it's in an industrial area that we don't ever drive near. The menu has beer, wine, appetizers, and pizza. Our beer booklet covered one beer each and an appetizer. We decided to have the blonde beer, the hazy hefenweizen, fried caulifower, and the artisan bread. The blonde beer and hazy hefenweizen were both great. The fried cauliflower was mediocre. It seemed a little undercooked and could have been more crispy. We also would have liked more sauce on it. The artisan bread had fresh, fluffy pizza dough which we really liked. This one was suppsoed to be truffle flavored and we did not taste any truffle. There was mushrooms and balsamic glaze on it and the flavor was overall bland. If I come back, I would be open to trying the pizza, but would not get the items that we had.The inside of Flat Fish is really big. The cellar area is big enough to have a large party or group. They have a stage in the cellar area where they have events with live music. The owner who helped us was friendly and nice. Flat Fish has a laid back vibe. We loved the beer and would return to grab one of their beers.“

Bottle & Pint Bar • $$
550 Collection Blvd #160, Oxnard - 10.35 miles

“Really tasty IPA’s. My favorite is the Russian River beer and the stouts. Hazy IPA’s are fire too. Would recommend, there’s so many restaurants around too it’s like a cafeteria and they usually have an abundance of different genres for music. It’s a nice atmosphere, I sometimes come here to study and implement some of the advice my college professors suggested about Sierra Nevada too. It’s a lovely place, solo, with friends or a significant other.“
