The ambience is nice. Dining indoors or out. Full bar and restaurant. Food arrived in a timely fashion and the staff was kind and friendly. However, the food although presented well are very small portions and many of their dishes are WAY too spicy. Spicy to the point of making you ill. This is the second time I've been there and I experienced this both times. Unfortunately three times isn't a charm. I won't revisit hoping for different results.
Great service had a good time stop is on point food was epic
Great food. Buuuut....terrible genre of music and way too loud. Like terrible, dark Skrillex kind of bro-step or something. We'll continue to get their take-out, but dining in, whether you are in the outdoors or indoors, the music was just ridiculously loud and ill-fitted for Mexican food. If young people flocked to the restaurant I would get it, but its definitely middle aged and up crowd. Read the room. You drove us out as fast as we could pay.
Our server, Norma, was very cheerful and friendly. We had good food and great service. Will definitely be going back.
The food was good, and the service great and the girls very nice. Take a night and try it yourselves.?????
awesome drinks and great staff, what more can ya ask for???
Came here on fathers which surprisingly was not busy at all. I was hoping to look for some breakfast around the plaza. However walking past this restaurant caught my attention. The food was fresh!! Everything we ordered was perfect. Will be coming back again.
Our waitress, Norma, was awful: curt, insulting & she provided poor service. She told my friend that she was disrespectful and impatient. We were not at all. Everything we asked for took an exceedingly long time to arrive at the table. And the cook got my order totally wrong, despite the fact that the waitress did write it down as requested. I will not go back to this restaurant.
First time coming in and I can say it was a good experience. The restaurant is a little hidden but definitely coming back. The food and drinks were great as well as the service. Two thumbs up for me I recommend the barbacoa, mac and cheese as well the fish tacos.
I am from out-of-town and have been here twice in about the same number of years. Have loved Cascabel both times. I find the food very tasty, well prepared, and delightfully presented. The chips are just fine, who cares if some are broken - I break them anyway to not double-dip. The salsas are delicious, flavorful. Don't expect red, but a very different brown that is super flavorful and has a thick texture. I and one of my party had the Sangre margarita which is made with Mescal and blood orange. This was just grand! The smokiness of the mezcal goes perfectly with the sweetness of blood orange. I recommend highly. Just don't expect a taqueria. This is a "restaurant" that prepares and serves a real meal. I recommend the Cochinita Pipil very highly.
Our server was amazing and very attentive. Food was as expected for a restaurant between Ross and a grocery store and margaritas excellent. However, it was hard to get passed the fact the bartender was not wearing a mask while he prepared drinks or socialized with some known customers in the outdoor area. There was another employee that had been clearing tables and also had her mask pulled down while she was behind the bar chatting with the bartender. For this lack of concern I do not feel comfortable returning.
Had dinner with a friend at Cascabel yesterday evening. As always, the food and drink were great. What impressed me most, however, was the speed and efficiency of Harold, the bartender. Despite having to cover the bar, the outside tables, and the new dining room, he greeted each customer with a smile and even came back to check on us. That young man is amazing!
The cascabel style fries are SO GOOD! Mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy and delicious. I always order the chicken taquitos because they are always super crunchy and tasty. Our favorite part for sure was the margaritas. They have seasonal flavors so make sure to ask your server about the margarita of the month. ?
Enjoyed the food..
