Great China in Santa Rosa is our family's favorite Chinese food restaurant. We measure every other Chinese restaurant by its standards, and they always fall short.

Awesome experience and Awesome food!My wife and I are new to the area we are here for work wanted to order Chinese food and she was against it because he was afraid of what we would get I did a little research and found this place relatively close to where we are when I got there the staff and the customers were all in a great mood being very friendly and helpful one lady told me she had been coming there for 20 years and drives quite a ways out of her way because it's worth it I went ahead and ordered and she was right it was definitely worth it we will be coming here again and again this is our new Chinese food home I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to check it out the portions were great the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly it felt like we were back in Texas!still coming once a week and still loving it!Vegetarian options: yesDietary restrictions: yesParking: There is way more than enough parking to fill the restaurant three timesKid-friendliness: If your kids like Chinese foodWheelchair accessibility: yes

The wife and I finished our second meal here today. I got the Mongolian beef lunch special and she got Beef Chow fun. The lunch specials come with a very generous proportion of the side, I'd definitely recommend the pork fried rice as it was seasoned very well and was quite delicious. The sweet and sour soup was good and came out very quickly and was piping hot. It's nice to not have to sit around for a long time before you're served and receive your food. The service was very prompt and the people who run this place are quite friendly and sociable. My Mongolian beef was pretty good but I think my Wife's beef Chow Fun was better than my food. My Pork fried rice was definitely the best part of my meal for sure. The cream cheese puff was pretty good and I immediately devoured it. The first time we went I had a very similar experience, my wife ordered the spicy Szechuan Beef lunch special and it was fantastic. The best thing either of us have had from Great China. The first time I went I got the Almond Chicken (not something I usually order) just to mix things up and I honestly wasn't a big fan. The pork fried rice and sweet and sour was still fantastic and made me want to try this place again but the almond chicken was definitely not a flavor I enjoyed. Not sure if it was just a subpar almond chicken or it's just the kind of thing I might not prefer. Either way I'm glad I came back and am looking forward to trying this place again.

Food is great! It's not greasy and they use good quality produce. Service could be waaaay better. They have 2 servers and 1 buzzer (who speaks no English at all so cannot help) for a full restaurant

Chinese specialties like hot pot with outstanding spare ribs, pork, rice, the most delicious warm soup, Great China is our family’s favorite place to the fabulous Hot Pot dishes north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Terrible food and I paid $75!!! I was so looking forward to a nice tasty meal... house chow mein had little flavor and oil tasted rancid and off putting; had asked for more veggies, and few were added; mostly noodles. House fried rice was skimpy on proteins and pork pieces chewy. Potstickers had large chunk of ground meat and by taste could not discern which meat was used; tasted weird. Sweet and sour pork was hard and chewy. House special egg foo yung was ok, but gravy was too liquid and no taste. I would have returned this food, but I live 40 minutes away and did not want to return food on the rainy night.

Lunch Menu Dec. 2023. $8.75 for a domestic beer??!?! Imported beer $1.50 less? What's up with these prices?

Delicious, fast, great take out. Got the pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. They both were great. I usually order take out so can't comment on eating there but they are usually fast and I never have to wait. It had a great feeling though, felt like a Chinese restaurant. Ambiance was a chill vibe whike still getting orders out speedy. Only draw back is it's a tiny bit more pricey than I would like but it seems most Chinese restaurants are that way.
