The food is pretty good but it seems like the the food changes each time I go. This is in regards to the consistency of the food (more liquid versus thicker).The Masala sampler platter had no lamb kabob in it as advertised on the menu.
I've been wanting to check out Masala Express for a while, and my friend and I dined here before seeing a movie next door. It was everything I could have hoped for! Super fresh, quality ingredients, and good service. I look forward to going back!

We had a large takeout order for students and everyone loved the food. Everything was labeled and seasoned perfectly. The spicy dishes were delicious and the malai kofta was super yummy. Come and try it for yourself!

Absolute horrible experience!!! We had called the restaurant ahead of time for a party of 16. We told them that we would be there in 20 minutes, but, with traffic, it took 30 minutes. As soon as we entered, the lady at the counter was upset and let us know in no uncertain terms that we were late. Then, she brought out lukewarm, stale chai. When we asked her to warm it up, she got angry at us. We asked for ketchup with pakora, and her response (in a loud tone) was 'I do not have it'. Lastly, every time she brought out food, she left the food plates on one end of the table and had us pass the plates out. She did not even serve it to us. Her attitude was absolutely horrible. DO NOT GO HERE.

The food here is great! Portion sizes are right on and the interior has a couple really cool murals painted on the walls. Highly recommend this place for real Indian food.
Well I've found my new favorite genuine restaurant in Sonoma County. After driving by here many times, we decided to head there for dinner. Immediately entering the restaurant we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality! We both already knew what we wanted and were happy that we were offered mild, medium, spicy or extra spicy. I went with the spicy chicken vindaloo, and my husband had the extra spicy chicken tikka masala, a mango lassi and garlic naan. Most Indian restaurants we've gone to have been mostly Himalayan or Nepalese/Indian, so we never get the spice we're looking for. But LOOK NO FURTHER, THE SPICE IS HERE!! not only is just the overall flavor absolutely delicious, but the heat that these meals packed were the perfect punch! I was honestly too excited to eat my food and forgot about taking pictures halfway through. We will definitely be coming back for not only the service, but the delicious food!

We decided to have a late lunch at Masala Express where we were the only customers. Our order included Butter Chicken Fries that quickly became soggy and weren't very appetizing. The customer service fell short of expectations, with disinterested staff. And there was no mention of an additional 3% charge for credit card payments until after we saw the receipt. We had cash on hand and would have preferred to use it if we had been informed earlier. While the food was decent, the overall atmosphere lacked hospitality. Considering the experience, we don't plan to return to Masala Express.

This is my absolute favorite Indian food in Sonoma County. The naan is light and fluffy, the butter chicken is amazing, the veggie tikka masala is so creative. We love this place.
