Visiting Santa Rosa and you're looking for a local steak house definitely try Starks. Staff are friendly and know steaks and wines! Leo helped us to understand the menu. We were extremely happy and the steaks were delicious paired with a great red wine. Recommend and we'll be back!

Excellent dinner. Steaks were so flavorful. We will be back. Service was great. My only critique would be better cocktail sauce with the shrimp. Not spicy at all or served with horseradish, aioli sauce is not good with cold shrimp in my opinion. Other high end dining serve with the dry ice which is great presentation.

Stark's just gained a new fan. So glad to finally try this place. I've heard nothing but good things from friends. The vibe is really nice. I thought it was would kind of fancy but it's really casual. The staff here are excellent. Super sweet and helpful. It made the experience a lot more enjoyable. We started off with appetizers, which were the Potato Skin Fondue, Crispy Calamari, and complimentary garlic butter bread. I LOVED the crispy calamari the most. It had a sweet chili sauce on it which I loved. The potato skin fondue was surprisingly good. Super crispy and that cheese was a great pair. It's a wonderful share for the table since it comes with a lot and it's really filling. Also that garlic butter bread was so heavenly. I'm dreaming about it still. Now for the main course we got the ribeye and filet mignon, both the choice cuts and medium rare. I have to say the ribeye was my favorite. Delicious, juicy, tender with some fatty pieces and a large cut; so you get a good portion for the price. The filet mignon was also really good but if I had to choose I would go with the ribeye. My partner and I both agreed that the meat here was the best steaks we've had so far. It was even better than one of the popular steakhouses we've been to in the San Jose who charges double the price that Stark does. Highly recommend coming here at least once!

Good food, limited menu that is very dated & seldom changes.Prices are on the higher end and reflect the good food they serve, well worth the price.Get the queen cut to share with someone, it's delish & won't disappoint.Syeaks are done perfectly!Service is slow & can be hard to get waitstaff attention.Atmosphere is very dated, needs a freshen up. It's dark and can be a bit depressing. This is definitely NOT the place to come if your depressed or looking for lively upbeat environment.HAPPY HOUR - if you just wanna try this place out without the hefty price they do have happy hour for reduced prices.

Happy hour from 3-6 is great, cocktails were fantastic had an old fashion. The ding room is elegant and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Had the porterhouse with broccoli and bone marrow. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Definitely would go back.

Amazing food! Great customer service and atmosphere! Highly recommended ....................................

I had a long week from work, I work in an afterschool daycare program with kids. With all the rain we've had they've been indoors, so it was a week of high energy and noise. As a reward for getting through it, I took myself and a friend to dinner at Starks. Just what I needed! Great time great food and some fun people to draw. Will definitely be back to recharge the batteries!

Last night 4 of us went to Stark's for a birthday dinner. To say the least we all were not impressed. We all have been fighting upset stomach since dinner and we are thinking food poisoning. To start out my prime rib had no flavor or seasoning at all. The steaks were undercooked and tough. The wedge salad was very lack luster barely any dressing and was a poor excuse for a wedge. The soup was bland and required a lot of salt to bring out the taste. The potatoes came out cold and they were replaced but almost at the end of the meal. We asked the server how big the salmon was and were told that it was 8oz, it was hardly 5 and was overcooked and dry. The deserts were overcooked and dry and almost having a burnt flavor. Having spent $400 dollars on this dinner I would never go back even if I was paid to go. Very poor quality food. We have been here before and never had an experience like last night. It seams to me that the owners have too much going on at all of their other restaurants and the quality has really gone down at Starks. During our meal we felt really rushed because the waiter and busters were trying to remove plates every time that they saw someone was done with a particular item very unprofessional and rude, twice we were still eating French fries and they wanted to take it away. Very disappointing.

Food is exceptional. Atmosphere, horrible. Have to yell to be heard and so dark, if you have vision problems, you can not see your food!
