In the past this was an excellent place for breakfast. However, both service and quality have gone downhill. Not sure if it’s due to Covid, lack of staff or lack of caring but it is unfortunate.

Excellent food, generous portions, great service. Food like I make at home, but better. Had a classic BLT with crisp bacon, and fresh lettuce & tomatoes. Perfect!

We have gone to this restaurant for years. At any time of the day the food is hot, well prepared and there’s lots of it. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. My only complaint is there use of outside signage. This restaurant always looks closed especially if you drive by when cars are parked in the back parking lot. As there is no o street parking. I have talked to the owner and staff for years . They have put up dark brown shades on all the windows. It’s almost like they want to keep it a secret. A simple lighted open sign in the windows facing piner road. And another in the side street windows would do the trick. Or removing two of the permanent window cover and replacing them with roll up shades on the front and side of the restaurant then placing lighted signage would also do the trick. But the outside of the restaurant needs updating or people will just dry by thinking they are closed. Some well placed outside lighting would, in my opinion do the trick and make it look inviting.

This place was bustling at 8:30 on Saturday morning. The portions were huge, even just one pancake. Service was fine.

We were out west for a niece's wedding. My husband loves his breakfast so after reading several reviews we decided to try Piner's. They were busy when we arrived but our party was seated quite quickly. Our server was friendly and got our order in quickly. My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the Ortega chile and cheese omelette; they were delicious!
