LOVE THIS PLACE. Excellent service, food is always good and menu and specials change. You just don't get this kind of experience in most places. I had special scallops and hubby had rack of lamb. All made to perfection accompanied by some of Hansel's great wine. Took home some extra veggies that had in a box for give away outside of restaurant from their garden.
My profession is commercial real estate and I have a client based in Northern California that knows his wines better than most somms. After a recent closing, I asked what wine he might enjoy as a client gift. He raved about Walter Hansel Winery's Pinot Noir South Slope (he had recently had at a dinner), so I bought him four bottles and bought one for myself. My husband took me here for my birthday. I couldnt have asked for a better place to celebrate this day. From when we parked I started falling in love. They have a beautiful walkable garden near the parking lot and free cucumbers and peppers at the door. We were early but the waitress seated us anyway in a very cute place toward the back with a window. The place is very unique and eclectic.
