Avatar’s is a long-time favorite. I love the playful fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisines. My personal favorite meal includes veggie samosas, the smoked eggplant enchiladas and the frozen pistachio dessert. but it’s all good.

I recently visited Avatar restaurant with high hopes for an authentic Indian food experience. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. The food lacked flavor and was not delicious. What's worse, the owner seemed more interested in overpowering the ordering process, feeding me dishes of his preference rather than what I wanted. The prices were exorbitant for the quality provided, leaving me feeling like I had wasted both my time and appetite. Overall, I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking genuine Indian cuisine.

Great customer overall but very pricey given the portion. The smoked egg plant prawn pasta only contained 3 prawns and half cup of pasta and the price was $22. This is my first time tasting Indian cuisine and may be my last time. I agree with the others that the lassi was the best, however, the portion I got was relatively small comparing to the photos others posted here. Mine was served in a wine glass. This restaurant was generally not worth the hype and overrated in terms of price, taste, and quantity.

Lovely experience at Avatars. GF had a salad with plain chicken while I had their famous salmon enchiladas. I think the tangy nature of the sauce comes from a reduced curry mix, salt and lime pickle. The hybrid Mexican / Indian theme is something that’s becoming bigger and bigger in the Bay. Good friendly service.Dietary restrictions: They can custom the order to your needs.

Food is okay, for vegetarians. This is not your typical Indian restaurant. While the ingredients used are good , the food itself is not that great. The dessert was pretty great and you should definitely try it

Wow, the service was great, loved the vibe, but not a fan of the uneven picnic table tops because we kept spilling or nearly.I was so excited about this place because it's obviously made with love but it just didn't have enough balance for me to say anything we tried was something that would stick with us or have us come again.I loved the ambitious fusion of everything but it just didn't seem to hit right and it was very carb heavy where I was hoping for some more vegetables to go with things.I really wanted to try the dessert but the meal itself just wasn't enough to promise that I'd be excited about it so we skipped it. That's not a thing for me usually.

Chef is really welcoming and accommodating. He was able to make Jain (no root vegetables) dishes like Enchiladas, Ravioli, Stir Fry and Samosas. All of them tasted great. Dishes definitely are on the expensive side but worth going once in a

Modern Indian cuisine with a twist of Mexican style cuisine. I enjoyed the traditional style as well as the twist of the dish enchiladas. It’s flavorful and delicious regardless for those who are adventurous to explore a little twist in Indian Cuisine.

Be very careful with the owners' marketing tactics. He said he'll surprise us with some special dishes, brought us three dishes - enchiladas, cauliflower potato curry, tofu spinach curry, and charged us for $150 plus tip. I personally felt that the quantity was very limited.Food was delicious! But, be ready to spend a lot.
