I've been a couple times now. The food is pretty good. A bit too heavy with the seasoning and sauces, but given the dearth of Mediterranean food in Marin, it does the job. Not as good as La Mediterranea in SF. The service is spare and inattentive. Both times they were late with a dish, they don't come by often to check for refills, etc. Outside is fun on the rare days it's warm enough because the vibe on that block is good. Inside is noisy.

Zalta catered an event at our house and did a great job! Our group was mostly vegetarian so we went with an all-veggie meal, and it was comprehensive, lots of good veggie proteins, generous portions, and so, so delicious. Our guests, many of whom were not vegetarian, raved. They have many good non-veggie options as well, which we've enjoyed b the restaurant. I'm a heavy researcher when it comes to catering, and I can honestly say that for a mid-large event, I wouldn't look any further for a great catering experience, veggie or not.

We had a fabulous night here last night! This place is a bit removed from the overpriced part of Sausalito with million dollar views that caters to tourists. I have no issue with those places - the food is quite good, but this place gave us an elevated experience. The manager (wish I had asked his name) was charming. He was our server. We had a delicious watermelon salad, a prosciutto pinsa, a whole branzino, and a nice bottle of wine. We ended our night with a dessert I could eat every day: the dark chocolate gelato with shredded halvah (and other stuff that I can't remember). Utter perfection. The vibe is cozy and nice inside. We will definitely be back! Thanks for the muscat!

We like this place! It's quite a happening spot in Sausalito. It has a cool vibe so it's somewhere we'd take out of town friends to. We've tried - mezze plate- pinsa- bronzino- kebab plate They are all pretty tasty. The service is pretty good too. Happy to come back.

This place is behind the main street of Sausalito downtown and is nestled close to other restaurants and residential area. On Sunday afternoon it was not crowded and we waited at front desk for 2 to 3 minutes before the host attended us for a table. The vibe at this place is a casual one including the service style. The food though is really wonderful. We got the humus plate, kofta kabob burger on gluten-free bun, falafel pita sandwich, fatoosh salad with chicken shawarma and chicken sharma kabob plate! The best item was the kofta burger.. really flavorful and yummy! Even the humus was the most authentic we have had in the bay area. Everything else was tasty too. Will definitely recommend this place for authentic and fresh Mediterranean food!

Food- average. Many dishes were honestly quite bland, we asked for sumac / anything to add umami and were given raised eyebrows Service- Poor. Waiter used very patronizing tone, maybe because we had 2 kids - but honestly there was a couple with a baby I observed the waiter being quite gracious. Bathrooms are gross and clean napkins right above the open trash cans.Nothing much to write home about.
