The experience was just ok. Lots of decorations everywhere in this worn out tattered old spot. Not what I expected. Food was nothing special and very petite portions. Expensive for what was served.... Wait staff was uninvolved...inattentive. Disappointed, I will not go back.

A great birthday lunch with delicious tea, fantastic soup, and yummy tea sandwiches, scones, and an amazing dessert trio. Such a cute place either way excellent service. Reasonable priced too.

I went to Mckennas for my bachelorette party. We sat outside and it was lovely and adorable. They have flowers and plants that make for great photo spots. The Mckennas blend tea was my favorite! And the lavender lemon was also a fan favorite. The service was very nice and tried their best to accommodate vegan and gluten free, but there was no option if you were both. Otherwise the food was so delicious and I ate one of every sandwich and they were all good, not one complaint there. I also tried one of every dessert and they were also very good. I just wish there was better dessert variety/flavors. The buttermilk scone was also amazing! With the cream and jam on top was 10/10! Overall I'll would recommend to everyone and also return in a heart beat! Thanks McKennas for such a fun and memorable experience that I've been dreaming of doing since I was a little girl!!

Best scones anywhere. Always served warm, they’re delicious with clotted cream & tasty jam.Tea sandwiches come in a variety of flavors, I like the ham & cream cheese and also the egg salad.

If you want to experience a real English tea come here. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have been here many times (make sure you make a reservation) and always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Stopped in for tea and first thing I noticed was the decor nothing to be desired really, the China was nice and set up nice but it was not very bright it was kind of dark and carpet well not much too say about it. I already had looked at their menu and prices online and it pretty high, but let's give it a try., so we sat down and waitress gave us menus she had mentioned some flavored tea, but I asked if I could just have an English breakfast tea but she said yes I had asked about refills or changing the tea out and she said that would be $5 charge wow cause I know another tea house that charge $0 for refills, this is a set menu, so you did not get to pick your own sandwiches which I thought how will they they know what I like so that did not sit with me. But we ordered food I just wanted scones and tea and my friend ordered the Queen Mom tea which consisted of soup 5 sandwiches haha not what I call sandwiches which was very deceiving because they were very small hardly any filling in them and some fruit and 3 little desserts and one scone. She mentioned double clotted cream which it was not even close to the real thing so was not impressed it was ok. The white lace curtains will let's say they needed washed In my opinion. But I think was over priced for the food and definitely had no ambience to it. Maybe just needs a little clean up . Oh I got my tea and my scones come out about 15 mins after but I then my tea was pretty cold and my scones were on the same tier as my friends food not sure why she did not bring scones while I was drinking my warm tea cannot really say much else I don't think I'll ever go back. It just doesn't sit with me that they choose the sandwiches this is one of them I am still looking for the other half

Pretty disappointing all around. They describe themselves as being an upscale venue, but it was pretty lackluster and, quite frankly, a little dusty. It took 25 minutes for our food to arrive when it wasn’t busy. Given the 90 minute time limit they put on your table, the service should be quicker. Service wasn’t incredibly welcoming either, which should be expected when you’re spending $30-$50 a person, which is fine dining prices. Although the tomato bisque soup was divine, the rest was disappointing, mainly because there was very little filling in the sandwiches. The scones were dry and very doughy and I couldn’t eat mine because it was a chore to chew. We did enjoy the music though

Loved the cuteness of this place. We had tea sandwiches and scones. Perfect light lunch for us. If the weather is nice, ask to be seated outside on the patio. We didn't know it was an option when we booked.

As others have mentioned, the service is pretty bad - especially for the price you are paying. It's very hard to flag someone down if you need a refill or anything and they don't make a point to make sure to stop by your table every now and then. It's also looking a little run-down these days and could use a good cleaning. Ambiance inside is okay - food is okay as well. Nothing memorable about the experience.

This is our go to tea place. My daughters and I go at least once every year. The selection of teas is extensive, with seasonal additions. The service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed. Dining out on the patio is so pleasant. We have tried most of the food items; we love the quiches, soup, and scones the most! Good selection of tea sandwiches and mini desserts, if you choose.

The food was fine, but the amount served was nowhere near $72 worth for tea service for two. It wasn't a beautiful location, so the ambiance did not make up the difference for the scarcity of what was served. The server was nice, but service was very slow. I do not recommend this place.

I planned a baby shower for 15-20 guests for February, site charged a $215 deposit to book the tables and for “tablecloths”. I requested pink tablecloths, tables were not dressed any differently than other tables. Staff was very helpful on the phone beforehand, but day of event some of the staff was borderline rude. Party was scheduled 11am-1:30 pm, staff opened up after 11 am and had guests enter through a “storage area”. I told staff beforehand that my daughter wanted a cake, which we brought. I was told to “move the cake”, but staff was reluctant to store cake while tea was served. I had to ask for serving plates and utensils. Tea, scones and sandwiches were great , but “desserts” (cookies) and salad were fair. At the end of event, I was told $215 was not a deposit, but actually a fee for use of the room. So total event was over $1200 for 19 people, including their 20% tip. I would have tipped much less based on my guests’ comments about Maya. The 2nd server-busboy was very accommodating. This could be a great venue, but it needs some TLC in the dining and entry area. Maya needs an attitude adjustment if she’s going to continue as a server. If you schedule a party to start at 11 am, you should be ready for guests at least 10 minutes or so before the scheduled event; or don’t start events until 11:30…
